    AUTHOR'S NOTES

Of course, these are fictional accounts of futuristic events. Each timeline is distinct of their standings. I would encourage a gleaming of the back glossary for Other Worldly Alien (OWA) expressions and brief history before devouring the whole text and story.

Also, I would note there are present places in the future written in war experiences and I did not or would ever desire these locations to meet any disastrous fate. I only wrote what I saw the characters experience and the occurrences thereafter continued in its story...

    PROLOGUE

In 2069 A.D farmers from the hated Farmland turned inward and waged a war within. The bloodshed and chaos lasted for almost 60 years. Through the fires of hatred Hattie Land was born and through time and pain the farmers saw a way out of their destruction...through her...

    CHAPTER 1

Hattie Land was born in tumultuous times as the farmers from Farmland battled through a civil war that began in 2069 between Dale Avery and the Kuhn brothers (there were eight of them in positions of power).

Charles Kuhn (father of the eight brothers) was a great man of power and authority, but he was not the Supreme Head-of-State of Farmer's Land (the name it was called then).

Dale, just voted in through a landslide against Shane Atkins, began to flex his muscles through administrative moves that limited Charles' authority and finances.

When Charles hired militia to protect his interests Dale saw this as a threat to his authority and pitched battles began from Stevens Point to Portage.

Many of the citizens tried to stay out of the fighting, but in time most of the citizens began to take sides for or against Charles or Dale.

With strained resources used against Other Worldly Aliens (OWAS) which the farmers hated and feared, Dale's lines began to fracture and Charles' Militia (as they were soon to be called or CM) began to gain control of ports that were used as economic lines for the Supreme Head.

Dale in 2074 as a sign of desperation attacked the larger Wisconsin's leaders through hit squads and bombs.

This idea had limited success, because those in Wisconsin (now Wausau) struck back and decimated Farmer's Land until Dale moved his government underground.

Charles was stuck near Oshkosh when Wausau struck with containers mixed with fuel and bombs. Charles did not survive, including many in his family and friends.

This is what Dale wanted and he used this time to move against the remainder of Charles' forces, but Dr. Jeff Kuhn, elder of all his children did survive and with the remainder of his father's militia pushed Dale and many of his forces into the sea through aerial bombing and missile strikes.

With the death of Dale and many in his administration Jeff Kuhn used this time to contact Wausau for a cease fire, but they refused for a time. Jeff was soon forced with the remainder of his family to move underground until loaded containers retreated and the skies slowly cleared.

Jeff was born in 2003 and gained his Doctor of Philosophy in 2031 after studies in Humanities. He saw the world through the eyes of a scholar and when he stepped into a world on fire as his Farmer's Land was, it broke him down in spirit and mind.

Better known as Dr. Kuhn the 3rd by many of his contemporaries he knew when the civil war subsided, and the Wausau people withdrew Kuhn had much to do to gain his country back.

He began to look far and wide for allies. He just lost many of his family and friends but the time to grieve he could not achieve until his country was at peace.

Bruce and Pearl became allies with Dr. Kuhn and used their Racine connections to place extreme pressure on Dale's remaining forces that still fought hit and run tactics to undermine the region.

Hattie was born in Racine as the Civil War began to turn for the forces of Kuhn, Bruce, and Pearl. As a child she remained withdrawn and barely spoke or showed affection, but her intelligence in solving problems was impeccable and Pearl admitted this was Bruce who shined through his daughter.

It was 2095 and Hattie had just turned 4-years-old when Lindley, Supreme Commander of Armed Forces of the Militia (SCAFM) and close friend of Dr. Kuhn called with some terrible news...

Jeff is dead. He died in his sleep. He was ninety-two, it's attributed to old age, Lindley said.

    Oh my god, Pearl said.

We need you both here, you and your husband to keep the peace, until we can find a successor, Lindley said.

What about his son, Lester Kuhn the 4th? Bruce asked.

We have not seen or heard from him in weeks. We don't know if he is still alive, Lindley said.

Send out feelers and see if Lester will bite. We will leave Racine as soon as we can, Bruce said.

Safe journeys, Lindley said before his face vanished from a square screen.

Now is the time for prayer, Pearl said.

I never believed in prayer, but I do believe in action, we need to get to Farmer's Land before Dale's Forces use this as an opportunity for a final blow in this fight, Bruce said.

Pearl pressed her thin pink lips together and brushed Hattie's black hair with a pink brush. She sighed as she already began to miss the home, they knew for over twenty years.

Bruce helped several security guards place green luggage underneath the air bus. Bruce thanked them and sealed the door and watched as the air bus rose into dark skies.

Who is in charge of Racine, now? Pearl asked.

Karl Dean, he's a good man, Bruce said.

Bruce moved forth and sat next to Darryl Coz their air bus driver/flyer of twenty years. Darryl maintained a bald head that always gleamed even in cool times. His blue eyes usually retained a hidden sense of humor, and this night was not different.

Some misty skies, but no storms on the horizon, Darryl said with a faint smile.

Oh, I see a storm on the horizon, Bruce said.

Darryl only smiled and coasted the air bus toward Farmer's Land. When Commander Lindley appeared on screen, he looked worried and afraid.

I found Lester. He is aware of the situation and will help us to win this war. I will guide you to certain fly zones. It will save you from being shot from the skies, Lindley said.

We appreciate any help with that, of course, Bruce said.

    Bruce turned to Darryl who
