About this ebook
Just because you grow up together, doesn't mean you will lead similar lives. The pacts you make as children disappear and the laughter you shared together fades away. Adulthood can be very detrimental.
But what if there was a force stronger than anything in the material world? Something unseen by most even though it exists in each moment right before you. And what if this force had the power to bring you back home – to the laughter, the joy, and the friendship.
A mysterious envelope waits at your door, urging you to open it and find out what's calling to you. If you choose to go, you will find everything you've been missing.
Join Alex, Kris, Eddie, and Marie as they return to the one place that they never thought they would go again – where their fondest memories are brought to reality.
Alysia Seymour
Alysia Seymour is a fantasy author who loves to explore stories through a spiritual and internal focused lens. She believes fantasy stories are the gateway to our imaginations, not only within fantasy worlds, but within our own lives. Through her novels, Alysia uses her own life experiences as her story ideas and to create real, vulnerable characters. After writing three novels in this way, and coaching her clients to do the same, Alysia decided to write a book on the subject of the internal writer’s journey to make this idea more accessible to aspiring fiction writers. She writes in a straightforward, honest, and unveiling way that allows the readers to absorb the ideas presented in a way that’s personal to them. Through this book, Alysia guides you to a new perspective on what it means to be a fiction author, exposing the side of the writing journey that isn’t as popular to talk about—the internal journey.

Memories of a Whim
Alex
The wind howled through the cracked windowsill of the old one-room loft, sending a gust strong enough to lift a stack of papers up from the desk on the opposite side of the room. They flew up, fluttering like feathers in a whirlwind, before settling in their respective places on the wooden floor. Alex Dyer was so enthralled in his story that he didn’t notice.
It wasn’t until he felt the chill of wind against his bare arms that he turned from his computer to see the draft of his latest novel scattered across the floor. He sighed heavily, his shoulders permanently hunched from sitting at his desk for months at a time.
What else can you throw at me?
he asked the empty loft. He knelt to the ground and piled the sheets of paper into a haphazard stack, knowing he would have to sort them later. He was too caught up in his current story to focus on this inconvenient task, so he shoved the the second draft to his fourth novel onto the side table beside his futon. To keep them from scattering again, he rested the heavy spelling contest trophy he’d gotten as a child on top of the stack.
At least he had managed to number the pages.
He returned to his desk and gazed the other window that overlooked downtown Portland. It was a blistery day outside, nothing new for this city. Since he’d moved here five years ago, he rarely saw sunshine anymore. He loved the rain, and the cold, but this was getting ridiculous.

But in the back of his mind, he doubted if this would finally be the one to get him on the best-sellers list. Maybe it was the
