About this ebook
Secret identities. Extraordinary powers.
She wants vengeance. He wants justice.
The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies—humans with extraordinary abilities—who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone . . . except the villains they once overthrew.
Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice—and in Nova. But Nova’s allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another splendid book by Marissa Meyer! I absolutely loved Nova's character as well as Adrian's too. Marissa's writing style is just completely intriguing. I am so excited to see what will happen in the next book!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Holy. Shit.I hate myself for this. Generally, I "discover" book series when they're on the third volume (or more) so I have a bit of cushioning to get me up to date. This is the first time I've entered on the ground floor and that pisses me off soooo much. I don't know if I'll be able to wait for the second book. This was just too good.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I think that nearly every superhero/villain trope made an appearance, and I absolutely loved it! I cannot wait to read the conclusion arriving in 2018!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Audio Book: 3.5 stars.
Arrrrgh, 17hours of listening and only so little happened. I loved the story and characters but it moved quite slowly in parts. Nevertheless, I'm very intrigued and looking forward to see how the story unfolds. Will definitely listen to the second book in the series which is coming out soon. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was fun, and I enjoyed Nova and Adrian, BUT this whole book felt more like a long set-up for Book #2 than its own story, which is disappointing.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I was a little iffy when I started this book. I have really enjoyed reading other books by Marissa Meyer, but they were all fairytale retellings. This book was all about superheroes and villains and that is definitely not my type of book (however I do enjoy the marvel movies). Anyway, I found myself totally invested in these characters and thoroughly enjoyed it. OMG that ending!!! I screamed as I finished the book. I hate that I have to wait until November to read the next book! I cannot wait!!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I found this to be good , rather simplistic compared to her Lunar Chronicles, but I enjoyed this story nonetheless.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Weirdly, I really like superhero movies and really don't care for superhero books -- as far as superhero books go, this is a good one -- in a ya, romantic, all the tropes, but thankfully not a love triangle, manages to some good twists despite everything kind of way. It's got a decent world, good characters, interesting powers and motivations, but. In the end, still not my bag, despite ticking all the boxes. If you liked Cinder and you think you might like superheros -- oh, yeah, read it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles is still one of my favorite YA Fantasy series. So I read this book with great expectations. This book is good ... even brilliant at points. And the series has a lot of potential, but this first book has a lot of loose endings and so I'm not sure if I will end up loving this series or just liking it. But, for YA fantasy fans, this is definitely worth a read! The Audiobook narration is excellent.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5So much fun. This is a great superhero book without being old school.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have been putting off reading this until the trilogy was finished to avoid the agony of waiting to read the next installment. Thoroughly enjoyable, very immersive. I am always slightly bothered by the lack of underlying science to all these super-abilites which is why I don't go in much for hero books but Meyer does it so well, I can suspend my disbelief without resentment.
