THE MORMON TABERNACLE, SALT LAKE CITY
The Tabernacle is an oval-shaped building with an arched roof, resembling the back of a tortoise. It is 250 feet long. 150 feet wide and 80 feet high. About 8,000 people can be comfortably seated within its walls. It is remarkable for its acoustic properties: a low whisper or the dropping of a pin in one end
