Just what are the entwined factors currently creating so much financial pressure on the average citizen? Listed below is a collection of issues that this author terms the abyss. It is based on data from the US government and independent research organizations. The list is long and intertwined. Any one of these factors can create financial problems and concerns for a wage earner, while more than one or most taken collectively paint a very troubling picture.
