About this ebook

A struggling antiques collector finds herself falling in love with a millionaire playboy; but can she ever be a part of his world?

Meet the Naughty Princess Club, a series from USA Today bestselling author Tara Sivec that brings readers to Fairytale Lane and the hilarity—and romance—that three women fall into once they decide to strut their stuff and bring on their own happily ever after.

While her friends have broken free of their insecurities, Ariel Waters is struggling to come out of her shell. Her ex-husband took away her voice and her self-confidence, and Ariel is drowning under a sea of debt to afford the alimony she has to pay him. She refuses to ever fall for a man’s charms again, and is determined to make her own way.

When her house and her beloved antiques are taken by the bank after too many missed payments, Ariel finds herself adrift until the infuriatingly charming Eric Sailor comes to her rescue. Although she can’t stand the millionaire playboy, Eric’s kindness and unconditional support reveal hidden depths and a love that Ariel never imagined she could find.

But there are outside influences who will stop at nothing to keep them apart; can Ariel and Eric weather the storm and find a way to be together in Kiss the Girl?

I love these twisted fairy tales!

Kiss the Girl by Tara Sivec is the third book in the Naughty Princess Club series. We met the three "Princesses" in the first book, At the Stroke of Midnight, yet that was Cindy's story. Belle's story was told in the second book, In Bed with the Beast, and this is Ariel's story. These characters are loosely based on the fairytale princesses, but this series has our princesses stripping, drinking and yes falling in love. Ariel is the snarkiest of the trio and has quite a mouth on her, so be prepared for some vulgar language as well as some descriptive sex scenes. Having said all that, I did enjoy the stories about these three ladies.

Ariel is the last of the trio to begin stripping. As this story unfolds, we see the real Ariel, her previous heartbreak and how it effected her self-esteem. This story finds Ariel being evicted from her home and losing all her beloved antiques. Eric Sailor, the man Ariel has loved to hate since the first book, comes to her rescue and sets her up on one of the yachts that he owns. In this book, he wants to prove to Ariel that he loves her and wants a relationship with her. True to the fairytale references, there is an Ursula in this story who is Ariel's adversary and we meet her father, Mr. Triton, the Car King, lovingly referred to as C-King. This is Ariel’s chance to find love and a happy ever after. It is not a smooth ride, but it is a fun one.

Tara Sivec has written a series that combines humor, sexiness, and sass all with a fairy tale connection. This is not the normal read for me, but with the added message of female empowerment and not letting yourself become dependent on a man. It is okay to use your feminine wiles and sexuality on your own terms to take care of yourself and your loved ones. If you enjoy a fun, romantic, sassy, creative and sexual story, then pick up this series and enjoy. The publisher, St. Martin's Press, generously provided me with a copy of this book to read and review. The rating, opinions and ideas shared are my own.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) This is the third book in this series and I am sorry that I didn't read the first 2, so I feel that I need to do that in order to enjoy this more, that being said I still enjoyed and laughed and laughed. Ariel got just what she needed in Eric, and he was a sweetie. She seemed to have multiple personalities in her head, poor girl was all over the place, I wont get into it, because it truly is worth you reading, but please grab the first 2.

Ariel is loud, abrasive, irresponsible, whiny, crass, immature— were we suppose to laugh at her words and actions? Because I was ducking my head in embarrassment and wanted to tell her to grow up. I seriously considered DNF-ing in the first few pages because I couldn’t stand her. Eric was only slightly better. He was a good match for Ariel, but kind of a bore. His character didn't have much personality. It was clear he was just the side character and that Ariel was all that mattered. There was an excessive amount of sentences in all caps. To me this is sloppy because you should be able to convey tone and volume of what someone is saying without resorting to all caps. I got tired of seeing this on the page and it made everyone seem like raging lunatics. The thing is: Sivec's writing isn't bad. When Ariel wasn't being...well, Ariel, I actually enjoyed it. I'm willing to give her writing another chance. Hopefully it is just this book.

Cindy and Belle each had their turn in the limelight with their stories. Now, it is Ariel's turn. What a story it is. It is full of second chances, sex, humor, and a sphynx cat named Derrick. Fans of Once a Upon a Time television show will thoroughly enjoy this series. This book ends this series which I am sad to see end. However, I had fun while it lasted. Eric is not the clueless guy that is portrayed from the Disney movie. No, he is all sorts of sexy. He does lose a few brownie points with me due to him being a cat lover but I guess I can forgive him. Derrick is cool but I agree with Ariel that he is freaky too. I am not just talking about his appearance. While, this is Ariel's story, I am still glad to see Cindy and Belle make appearances as well. When these three get together, tons of fun is guaranteed to come out. Oh, and yes Eric did "Kiss the Girl".
