Dirt flew as Vicky shouted and rode toward the bunched cattle. She tossed the end of her lariat to move the milling calves away from the cows. When they'd sorted the bawling calves into one pen and the mama cows in the other, Vicky swung off Ranger and tied him to the wooden hitching rail outside the corrals. It was good to be back home.
