About this ebook
52 titles set in fantasy, mystery, fiction, horror, romance & action/adventure. ‘Silver & a Dream’ one of fifteen lyrics, is about living in a dream world about someone who fascinates you, and you'll find dreaming is a great part of a day. There is an audition for a play where the seats are packed, though when the cast hopefuls are introduced to the crowd in this story, they’re only concern is to make it back on stage, as they too, one by one will join the crowd in a dressed up fashion created by a director who brings the cast to a frozen in time like standstill, he calls his place ‘forever morning theatre.’ Love, determination, chimera, optimism; 20 poems peppered throughout this just enough Easter eggs encounter.

ROAD TO
NO ROADS
& that last road you seen me on is the road to no roads
i’m going to miss holding on to you
no one like you i swear how lucky can i get?
that last good-bye was like jumping from a plane good-bye
that last glass turned upside down
from the last dirt road town good-bye
ride like i never want to come home
these jumps these turns that downhill climb
ain’t nowhere near a street sign
ask myself do i really want to brake now?
it’s a cool life passing by the cool parts of life
i’ll add ‘em to a list of stops
i someday would like to stop & see
maybe something will be so lost
that it’s too tough to find
i’ll be back soon your kiss i’ll miss
sun going down up on the tunes loud
these mountains tell me believe
ask myself are there anymore clouds left to ride on?
key to your heart is key to getting to love you
i know each new day will feel like the very first day i met you
maybe no roads will lead me to believe
you’re what i need
rest well i’m spinning lures in the san juan
the only reason why snow & rain fall down
clear sky steer tight with a turn
pocket full of lead does it give me something to rely on?
that sound wave & kick back gives it all too well away
i have an idea that i think will look good on a necklace
this no roads of mine is like traveling back thru time pawnee
water flowing by will be there
that aspen to sway on won’t break
bobcat prints i’m in for a follow
climb high for a better view
i’m counting up miles on the road to no roads
i’m gonna miss holding onto you
A SILENT MOVIE
after finding an empty seat in this crowd
the lights turned dim
blot! blot! the film began to roll
string violins and brasses for wind chimed the theme
names of stars and new faces to meet took turns to tell us who is on board
my sodas i was raised to call coke dropped into their holders the one on my right rather be occupied by another movie-goer’s cold drink instead
the top portion of my popcorn doesn’t butter my fingers, can you guess how?
on screen, a cloud of white smoke expanded from a single point
a glass measuring tube held itself together in a remains state an inch above and below his two-finger grip, he mentioned there is only one way to find the point of imbalance
my favorite part is you are so smart
filling in blanks, carrying preference is rare to seek around here, always remember a log is important he added to her collection of must-knows before handing her a box to place in the single-rider coach behind the power of a horse, two steps then a landing in the driver’s box, the control reins whipped into action, his hat removed to wave farewell so to begin her travels
on the way a bit, memory alone the guide for her horse to dock at a trough
engaging the brake on the coach’s wheel looked fun to set
opening the door required a hand through the leather window to unlock a latch
two handbags, one larger propped near the door to be taken out to be taken inside
a suit and hat man said hello to our long-dressed woman appearing to hurry
she kept her view thumbing through her long-strapped purse
‘hello,’ she responded
that thing she wondered about got a pat with her purse in-between
‘how do you do?’ a tip for the lady from the hat on his head
‘well, thank you. how are you?’
‘i’m good. such a busy day, stuck inside, tucked away at a desk from this weather that’s so great’
she adjusted her dress from running crooked
‘yes, nice day,’ she agreed
‘will we see more of you here? you must be new,’ he convinced himself of
‘not my first day, not brand new’
she looked into his eyes, then perhaps his lips and then back to his eyes
‘i will not be here today. i’m preparing a trip to the scenery trails, it is a way to create ideas for this’
she handed him an item after placing three on a shelf
‘you’re a thinker, have a seat, you must be exhausted my dear. i apologize for not noticing your work, although i’m sure the editor at the newspaper knows what you had for supper and your every quirk. describing daily details in a convenient pocket-sized multiple counted canvas sounds like a mindful if not mouthful, you poor thing, i’m sympathetic to your cause’
ten hours before dawn read the title in bold
an every week publication dedicated to keeping a schedule for the busy strong will
these pages to turn, pages to agree with must be liked by those who have things to do on a list
‘thank you, kind sir, your words are warming’
she filled out a form off to the side of the countertop then away she headed to the exit door
in dismay and worried despair may haunt if he didn’t ask if they may accompany each other for the day
‘may we accompany one another for the day?’ he asked, unsure how to ask any other way
‘is your day not filled with work and what is it that you do?’ she replied, halting in her tracks
he cleared his throat, adjusting his stance close to a soldier speaking to a ranking officer
‘i manage incoming and outbound numbers for the town bank, i must be ahead of schedule, heading out a few hours early before the workday ends shouldn’t cause harm,’ he understood to be sure of. ‘i can notify the secretary, it wouldn’t take long’
first note to herself, the workday started not long ago and second, his plea to spend time shown his sincerity. ‘how does the weekend, or your next day off sound? wouldn’t that be beneficial?’ she admired the potential lost time they may accrual he defended against any working timepiece although wanted to be sure his employment remained his
‘another day indeed, although today feels fitting’
‘i’ll be spending a few hours a few hours from here. foothills at shelby’s town. it’s always a blast!’ the excitement in her announcement roared. ‘i do need to forge a telegram to go through before we set out, it too wouldn’t take long,’ she stated, looking in the direction to where a telegraph booth had no one chiming away. he joined her, in fact leading the way. she enjoyed his politeness, it brought to light he must want to care
after occupying the booth, he closed the door for her
a pocket kept a pair of cotton hand protectants
resting in her palm, a box housing a battery for a lamp affixed to the front side
with grace she positioned it midline to her forehead by a leather strap and then closed the electrical circuit by the switch
a second box and two cords were pulled from her bag
a few alligator mouth clips bounced on the desk
to ensure which was which, each metal cable she untangled
an end of one plugged in to her box
the other end found itself to be whipped thru air to be readied for a straight pull to an input on the hard to reach under section of the machine
the panel board kept behind a locked door
no worries, a master key she also retrieved from her bag
back at the desk, she took a cord accompanying a microphone piece to plug in to her box, she spoke into it ‘hello, mister holter! it’s me. i meet an employee of yours’
she opened the door enough to speak
‘i’m confident everything is working to proper’
the door’s lock latched
‘he wants to join me on a nature hike today. is it all right he skips work today?’
once again, she slid the door to an open settle, handing him something to read when an incoming message arrived via a ringing bell notification
‘oh, that must be for me’
her boxed in speaker made it sound like he spoke into a box. she paid close attention, a few inches away be exact, to not miss what he had to say
‘Hello My Dear. So Nice To Hear From You. Stop By Soon’
she allowed enough space to ease her head out
‘with me on this cable, in short i should be wrapping up’
‘The Mrs. Misses Your Company. And About My Employee. Have A Great Time’
her scattered items on the surface were collected two by two and returned to the inside of her strapped case. her gloves peeled from each hand and then stuffed where they are packed away
the door slid on its track until meeting back-to-back with its counterpart. he showed his new well-being friendship with an extreme close-up of the two of his hands waiting for one of hers and thoughtful of her cargo type luggage when the scene on the screen blackened to a calming break
although second nature for the writer, the gentleman had to observe the object on wheels attached to a horse from different angles and insisted to be informed of what it is, although in all obvious it appeared before him, he had never seen it so, ‘compact. innovated from top to bottom. i can’t wait to see the inside’
his chance came when she flung the door unsealed
an invitation via her palm floating along like a cloud
enough room for two relaxing across the aisle
although a bit cluttered if ‘twas not yours
the seat facing forward his
slam then locked went the door, an introduction of how it rides played out when she climbed to retract a sun block enclosure although useful as a sun block sounds, this one contained a microphone and speaker. she opened a door which opened like a bread box. inside, a box with the front side covered with glass. a few knobs, switches, and buttons were messed with to reveal a real time moving picture of her new friend sitting where she left him
‘hello back there!’ great pleasure for her
he looked around for her voice, seems like it came from somewhere inside, it made him ask himself aloud how are you doing that?
she giggled at him looking around as though he appeared in a silent movie
‘do you see a box affixed to a wall? flip that switch’
nice bumps when doing so
‘i can hear you now. how is the ride?’
‘what is this box? you can hear me?’
‘i can also see you. it is an invention’
‘i suppose so’
the screen faded and then popped right back
