Prologue
Life is a crossroad
For each one must
On the cross, behold
The One who was
On the cross-lifted,
Then decide to cross
Into His love or with
Impious prattle and ignominy,
Walk across into the camp
Of the liar and deceiver
Who is enraged at Christ cross.
Still, our Savior embracing
Outstretched arms on the cross,
Invites all to cross
From death to life
For victory is won
Only through the cross,
On which Jesus hung ©by Blessed Oki

Chapter One - Body Lane
Along the way to Freedom Parkway, she observed that the elliptical ship’s heating pad up above, was releasing intense tentacle-like rays intent to wring each of its residents dry.
The extremely hot midday rays convergence temporarily steamed up the barrel of water left standing in the yard to vapors, before creating the desperate crave for gulps of fresh aqua, to ease the bolus rotator from cleaving to its roof.
Hence, the urgent desire for sips of aqua that would quench her thirst and, stop the air lapping as well as, cooling wades to adjust the thermo imbalance that accompanied the constant trickles from the brows, became the greatest challenge.
The combination of heat stimulated drench, stench and thirst, set her on edge like a set of triplet to ensure that the scouting inclination for survival, which took over the command, would keenly rise to the occasion.
Thus, she searched for a glimpse of another traveler to lean on or, a settlement where she would be able to accomplish her desire to cool down, with a gulp and a wash or deep.
After some time on the parkway, it done on her that, it would take eternity to arrive at the peaceful haven He had intended for her, during this journey.
Hence, as she emerged from one of the curves along the winding road, she observed that the flashing road sign indicated the direction to the nearest exit, which was only one mile away, so she opted for the first detour that would lead to Body Lane.
Strange and uncommon as it might seem, her Father named her Bodimage for, she was a replica of Him, a real and explicit image, made after His likeness, the ooh and ha of their relatives along with the jolly chorus of, ‘you look like your Father’ testified to this truth.
He imbued her with the ability to love and see life through His vision, so that she would be able to reflect His goodness, as in a mirror image, to all that she meets.
When He decided to send her on an errand on this hot summer afternoon, with the strict instruction that she should stay on Freedom Parkway, the thrill of this call, compelled her to strive in every viable way to continue to obey Him as always. Therefore, out of reverence to him, she endeavored to limit all her driving and site seeing exclusively to only the sceneries that Freedom Parkway has to offer.
Before she decided that the lone ranger travel that proved His trust in her obedience was an ordeal, she had loyally adhered to her Father’s instructions.
Now, her heart raced with the speedometer in a race that must have been observed repeatedly, as the precursor to the pitfall from the shadow of the Almighty and, all the hosts of winged messengers stayed in a state of loving inertia while, they watched her on the precipice of inner war.
There were series of extremely rapid one-man senate debates and contemplations, which led to her first amendment to the constitution. Therefore, she made an enactment, which stated that ‘it would not be complete disobedience or dishonesty, to see what life has to offer on Body Lane, as long as, she was able to return home to give her Father a positive feedback on completion of the errand. This however, caused the winged messengers to hang their heads down in hush disbelief.
Initially, her heart did series of somersaults before it started an unsurpassed intense competition with the speedometer, which made the one mile drive before the exit, so dreary. Moreover, her Father’s secret agents, whose sole responsibility were to watch over her and report to Him, might not fully understand her need for a self-imposed detour since, they were somehow invisible.
A jolt from the bolt of lightning generated by fear with its paralyzing effect, felt like heat waves shot down her spine when, she ran into Freedom who is one of her Father’s trusted servants on Body Lane. Hence, her already racing heart sort for a dive into the nearest cave as a hideout however, he put a halt to her intended hurried retreat and soothed her as he called out, do not to be afraid for, Father has out of His love, sent me to guide you through the labyrinth of the parkway.
Thereafter, he allowed her to observe a celebrated tour guide named Worldie, an aged yet youthful woman, whose childless uncle ruled Body Lane who sat as one of the many princesses of this domain.
They had encounter with some of the residents and travelers on Body Lane, through this aged yet zealously youthful woman, who had painstakingly set aside time that granted them the opportunity to meet with the people, subsequent to which, they had sessions of seasoned talks about the folks under a secluded tree.
In addition, after a cool wash, she offered Bodimage the delicate apple with change of clothing, followed by a nap in a conditioned room.
When she finally roused from sleep, Worldie’s warm invitation on extended arms for a guided tour on Body Lane, where all kinds of people and characters dwelt, expectantly pepped up her itching toes as they set out and, the following were Bodimage’s account of their encounters while, accompanied by Freedom.
As we went down the lane, most of the people referred to a light chocolate colored man whom we met on the way as Tega, while some called him Bodie, but his real name was Oghenetega. He was a tall slim stripling, with near almond shaped facial feature, which made his stately stance likened to that of a prince in the prime of life, prominent.
While he walked down Body Lane toward his white metal on wheels, his left hand hugged the purchases from Decorville new line of designs and, the group of women he passed on his path whispered in each other’s ears then giggled sheepishly as he got closer to them since, they were all eager to be noticed by him.
But, he on the other hand, brushed away none existing bug with his right palm from his exposed left arm, before his stride changed to a swagger that was an effortless success, which amused the giggling bunch.
Moreover, while passing them, he switched on the fastest scanner ever known with a wink of the eye and, the image of each daughter of Eve in the group is stored in a natural disk for later recall, serial editing and keen analysis. †
Gently, he dropped his purchases in the trunk then, he opened the driver’s door, hoping to sit down in solitude, but the scanned images like butterflies, flapped their enchanting wings within his screener. Thus, after series of recalls and reruns of the retrieved images on his ponder screen, in the comfort of his Mercedes S series, Bodie opted for Blondie who lived in the east end of the lane because, her physique which was like the hour glass was enhanced with straight long legs.
They were both in their early twenties at this period of life therefore, bold to celebrate adulthood, freedom from parental control, and yes, able to peep into the future as they eagerly prepare to build the foundation for basic unit of the society, a family.
The smell of fresh cut grass wafted the air when we ran into Onfidence, an extremely quiet person sprawled on all four, as he scrabbled with the grass stumps for a foothold and, a tremendous overcast of incomprehension, streamed down his face over the unwarranted provocation, before he eventually got on his feet.
We learnt through scuttlebutt that while he rode his bike down the Lane, Ischmief the easygoing one, abruptly pulled out one of her hideous pranks from her multipath crown directly in his course, as she sprang in front of him. Then, she swayed and flapped her arms like the wands of a musical band conductor and, it was through this unexpected appearance that he was unsettled and caused to have a zigzag dance on the bike before he flew into the air, in a failed effort to avoid rolling her over.
The bike meanwhile, clanged I’m free, I’m free, as it went down the slope in
