He took time to go through it too. His feedback lead me to five revisions before I came out with this final version that he approved for producing it into a film. Chapter 1

The setting sun at the horizon spread its rays on the water surface of the calm looking Bedok reservoir. It was flanked with green and well-maintained grass, trees and paths where some people of various ages were jogging, brisk walking and cycling. The grass patch flanking the reservoir was empty of people then. At one corner of the grass patch, stood a sign board by the Nationals Parks Board with the No Fishing, No Swimming, etc... warning signs printed on it. At a distance between two paths, there was a tall wooden like block with the sign Bedok Reservoir Park printed on it. At the left end of the reservoir, there were some high-rise HDB blocks of flats. The environment looked serene with the rays of the setting sun creating strands of golden hues on the calm water surface. As time went on, the full moon replaced the sun and illuminating the cloudless night sky. Its reflection appeared so beautiful on the waters of the reservoir.

At about ten metres away on the grass patch Asha and Aleena, both wearing simple casual clothes and bare-footed, were siting close to each other while admiring the beauty of the reservoir water, its surrounding and the night sky.

Asha was a 1.68 metres tall married Indian expatriate. She was a tan-skinned and bubbly-looking person in her mid-twenties. She was quite slim and sassy-looking. Her vital statistics were 34-28-32. Her shoulder-length hair with brunette-hue highlights were let down. She maintained a positive posture with ever-present pleasant smile at almost anyone.

Aleena was a 1.70m tall and voluptuous but pleasant looking Caucasian lady from Australia in her mid-twenties. Her vital statistics were 36-30-34. Her brunette hair appeared slightly wet and messy but trendy. She had sharp eyes and regularly displayed a pleasant and attractive smile that could attract any guy instantly, but in actual fact, she was not a bimbo that anyone could be played around with.

Babe.. how did you do it? asked Asha in a calm, friendly and Indian-mixed accent.

How what babe? Aleena questioned back with a smile.

How we became soulmates? asked Asha.

Aleena smiled back.

Till now I am not sure what attracted me to you. You're my best soulmate, you know. You’re literally my soul…really... I swear...

Same here Asha dear. The chemistry we share since we met is fabulous.

You were always there for me and with me even when my husband wasn't.

Well.. what's a friend for. You valued my friendship and I did what I was supposed to do, that's all.

To tell you frankly, you possessed me.. yes possessed me, with your friendship babe.. how did you do it?

Aleena put her arm around Asha and brought her closer to her and made a growling sound with laughter as though she was trying to possess Asha. Then, Asha and Aleena laughed out like innocent children kissing each other’s lips gently.

Chapter 2

Eight months ago. The same vicinity as Bedok Reservior Park. Asha was jogging her last lap. She was perspiring profusely and yet a determination to finish the jog was visible in her eyes. As she reached the finishing point and began slowing down and then halt at an area of the grass patch flanking the reservoir to do her warm down exercises, she notice a young Chinese couple cuddling each other as they strolled along the park. It distracted her concentration and created a slight pain in her heart.

Three years had passed since she moved over to Singapore with her husband Shan after their marriage in India. They were not in a hurry to have a kid though. Shan had obtained his Permanent Resident status through the help of the company he was working in as a Senior Manager while Asha was still in long term visa but continued her application for the Permanent Resident status even though her past three applications were unsuccessful and she did not want to give up.

Asha was born and bred in the cosmopolitan city Bangalore in the southern part of India and so she did not have that much of difficulty trying to adapt to this new environment and city state Singapore but to be alone most of the time
