THE SIMPLEST PRAYER

O ne day the followers of Jesus asked Him to teach them how to pray. Jesus smiled warmly and with the sweetest voice said, "When you pray to God speak gently saying, ‘Hello God, we know you are in heaven. We also know that you love us like the best mommy or the best daddy.

Dear God, Your name is so special that we speak it in our hearts and in our mouths with lots of respect. May Your loving kindness that shines all the time in heaven also shine here on earth. Good Lord, please give us each day the food and drink we need for our spirits, as well as for our bodies. Help us forgive others just as You forgive us. Help us stay out of troubles- small and big alike. Thank you, God.’"

THE LOST FRIEND

J esus told Kaylee that He really loved her. Kaylee said, Jesus. I know You love us all. With a twinkle in His eyes, Jesus tenderly put His hands-on Kaylee’s shoulders and pressed gently saying, I do love everyone. But we should have a party because I love YOU.

Then Jesus told Kaylee a story: There were ten friends. They were together most of the time- at school, playing, and on weekends. One night one of the friends disappeared. They looked everywhere and couldn’t find him. All the nine friends and their families and their neighbors helped in the search. They turned on all the lights and looked everywhere. Everyone was so worried. Then, a neighbor exclaimed, There he is, asleep on the roof! Alan had been watching the stars and fell asleep. Everybody was so happy. They even had a party!

After hearing this, Kaylee really understood that Jesus loved HER. She invited her friends and neighbors to a JESUS LOVES KAYLEE PARTY and the angels in heaven had a party too.
