Pascal Triangle Analogues Introduction - Tomislav Tomšić

    Tomšić

     Chapter one. Introduction.

Here is the most trivial Pascal triangle analogue:

    1

Pascal triangle analogue constructed with addition, and zero as constructive influence.

If we substitute n with one, we end up with the familiar construct we come to call the Pascal triangle.

Now, we are left with several intriguing questions, some of which are:

    What n can stand for?

We will see some examples of use in its respective chapter, but essentially, only our imagination and knowledge are the limit.

Can we use other constructive influences beside zero, some other number perhaps?

Yes, and again, later we will see more about it.

Finally, are we limited only to addition, in order to construct a Pascal triangle analogue (PTA for short)?

No, and we will take a look at that subject right away.
