NYPD Homicide Detective Buck Woods returns to New York City after a six month sabbatical at his cabin on Pushaw Lake near his home town of Orono, Maine. The country harboring the escaped fugitive does not have an extradition treaty with the United States. If caught, Woods and Karlsson are on their own. The NYPD will deny operation EXTRACTION ever existed.

W.D. (Dave) Frolick is a late-blooming author. To date, Dave has written four murder/mystery novels and one children's book. He is a country music songwriter, creative director and owner of Frozen North Music (SOCAN), a Canadian music publisher. Dave enjoys writing country songs, golfing, movies, reading a good murder mystery, and watching sports--especially the Toronto Blue Jays. He is retired from a career as an entrepreneur and real estate sales. Dave and his wife Rose live in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.
