About this ebook
When the world conspired against JB, he lunged-forth into action, to fulfil a long-term ambition; to write crime thriller ’30 Years to Kill.’
The universe, disquieted to witness someone fighting back, relentlessly conjured more chaos. Karma stood-by sniggering, as the enthusiastic author’s antics became more outrageous. JB began to evolve into ‘Archie Bow-Carla’, the fictional criminal, he had created.
The last bastillion for this courageous idiot...laughter.
From the very start of the writing process, JB Watlington kept a journal, detailing the challenging complexities, and disasters that befell him.
For your entertainment, JB has turned his journal into the short, emotional rollercoaster, ‘Delusions into Drivel’. Laugh and cry with him as you follow this unconventional phenomenon, before finally crawling across the self-publishing finish line.
If you like his writing style, immerse yourself into his crime thriller, ’30 Years to Kill’.

CHAPTER 1
Why write a 32 page book about a 700 page crime fiction novel?
Delusions into Drivel
I want to arouse your interest in my 700-page crime fiction novel, ’30 Years to Kill.’ This could backfire, but that’s a risk I’m happy to take.
‘Delusions into Drivel’ is an irreverent account of the writing process I went through to create the novel ’30 Years to Kill’, its plot and characters, along with some of the ridiculous, hilarious and painful hurdles that fell across my path during the journey.
I’ve included details about the story, without giving away plot reveals. It’s an opportunity for you to sample my writing style before you decide whether buying my novel will bring you the pleasure you may be willing to pay for.
30 Years to Kill
Is a story, told in 3 parts, about the life of Archie Bow-Carla. Good guy or bad? You decide.
Part 1 tells of a boy nurtured in the English countryside between 1974 - 1986. That boy was already a charming adrenaline junkie with a cavalier attitude to life, bereft of guilt, empathy and remorse. A local criminal enterprise thought nothing of crossing a kid. They might live to regret ‘that’ kid accepting the invitation to participate in their game.
Hidden beneath visible threats, lies a tangled web of deceit, which is the very cause of his nature.
Part 2 plays out in London 1992. Archie refines his skills and builds his team, both in business and as a clever thief preying on criminals. His lack of emotion and his role as protector makes relationships impossible. The authorities turn a blind eye, as his enterprise helps their statistics,
