Weal and Woe - Kevin Grommersch
Weal and Woe
In weal and woe I sit and wait
The sands of time consume me
And through my third eye I can see so much savagery around me
If music hath charms to sooth a savage beast
Then why do all the savages feast?
Feast on the sands of time, robbing them of their sweet elixir
Oh music of the heart, play your melodious sound
To charm this beast that I have found
Cast him away and save me from his savagery
For he feeds upon a sweet elixir, the elixir of time
An elixir too prime to be allowed to be left behind
Oh great beast thou hast disturbed my peace
Thou hast cast upon the sands of time a storm that ceases to pass it by
For now the hours fade from me and my eyes fail to see
Where the sweet sand has gone and why it can no longer be found
The River Seine
Holding hands in the moonlit night
I stare at the stars oh so bright
Oh beautiful moon thou shinest so favorably upon me!
My love and I we smile and rest illuminated by thee
Along the banks of the picturesque River Seine
We sit and stare again
We look not at the moon this time
But gaze deeply into each other’s eyes
Paris what hast thou done to my heart?
It has been mesmerized by cupid’s flaming dart
Oh Paris, oh Paris so beautiful and bright
City that has given my heart a new light
Oh Eiffel tower you loom behind
Your light continuing to shine
Shine forth onto me and show me the beauty of this city
Oh but my love I cherish thee oh so much
Loveliest girl of my heart
Angel of my dreams
Music of my heart
I hear thy song rising forth into the night air
You dispel all darkness and give love to the air
Oh mystical waters of the Seine fill my heart with thy love so dear
Oh Cupid but you hear my cry this night
I shall give you the gift of sight
For why need I eyes to see
When love hast captured me
Enkindle within my heart a love deep and true
So my love
You may love me as much as I love you
Hidden Heart
Oh sweet sun look at thee smile upon the green shrubbery of the garden
Oh beautiful sunlit garden here I stand and beg thee for thy pardon
For I sit in a darkening sky
Where the many nimbus clouds lie
I stick my soul through the clouds and smile at thee but thou dost not see
A beautiful girl sits on a park bench below
And in this Eden her smile is aglow
She has raven hair like the
