The Same Blood

About this ebook
The cities of the Kingdom of Ze Nel protect the population from the poisonous outer atmosphere.
Humans live in the Protected Quarters, where the air is pure and food is always available. On the contrary, the exposed, most of the population, are oppressed and relegated to suburbs, where the old and ineffective atmospheric filters let most of the toxic gases from outside pass through.
For an exposed child, the only hope is to become a tamer of Zenelian beasts and join the Kingdom's army to help the oppressors.
It is a tumultuous period: the exposed people try to make their voices heard with strikes and peaceful demonstrations... but when one of these demonstrations is suppressed by force, the situation becomes uncontrollable.
"The Blood Same" is a story set in the dystopian steampunk universe of "The Pentaworld's Cantos" created by Atra.

None of the students had asked why that light was not on. Ting Whei was eight years old - old enough to have learned that it was not convenient to ask that kind of question. And he was sure his classmates thought the same way.
Teacher Hue was very good to them; on
