About this ebook

This book is a collection of John’s poems, and photographs were taken while out and about. The title suggests that we should all take time to walk alone to contemplate our value to society and humanity. It attempts to capture, in verse and photographs, the beauty that surrounds us if only we take the time to look. Poems range from the humorous to serious, the philosophical to environmental, along with the romance and hardship associated with our lives. The photographs are stimulating, inspirational and meant to support the poetic narrative.

I hope reading this book will be a pleasurable and thought-provoking experience. It may help alleviate the drudgery and depression we all face in our lives, from time to time.
