IV. Double consonants:
The double consonants are represented by tiny lower case tsu.
It represents the longer length of a syllable and a brief pause in the word’s pronunciation.
Examples: けっこん (kekkon = marriage)
きっぷ (kippu = ticket(s))
マッチ (sports match)
