Rona Stole My Baby Bells: The Mother's Journey
()
About this ebook
Pregnancy, birth, and the first twelve months as a mother can be challenging enough ...... yet no one could prepare to undertake those things during a Pandemic. The highest of highs, watching bellies and babies grow, and yet, the lowest of lows, with no visitors, no baby showers, no leisurely baby-store-splurge-and-coffee-out-with-friends days. No baby bump parades and embraces. The inability to share this beautiful time with those who mean the most and who we always envisioned would be there for those important 'firsts'. "What happened to my plans?" she asks. I feel like I missed out on an important rite of passage. The pregnancy and newborn social engagement stage. Rona stole my baby bells and celebrations!
Rona Stole My Baby Bells - a beautiful keepsake - tells of a time in a mother's life that not many can relate to. Pregnancy and birth during a worldwide lockdown. Through a delicately crafted fairy tale, the book is a reflection on the range of emotions women have endured during this bizarre period. It captures each woman's unique story and will remain in families for generations. This celebratory book will help mothers diarise their memories and feelings, and provide an opportunity for them to reflect and celebrate! Once completed, this precious book will become a wonderful piece to share with loved ones and a gift to the children born during and after the 2020 Pandemic. This book is therapy, wrapped in connectivity, with a dash of sadness, a bucket load of gratitude, disguised as a journal, and brimming with an eternity of love.
The book contains gorgeous images shared from eight real-life mummies-to-be and existing mummies. Some of these women have experienced IVF, previous miscarriages, donor arrangements, and very difficult journeys, while others have had no issues at all. And herein lies the mystery of life. Regardless of how you came to be on your journey, this book is a true celebration of motherhood and a chance to make it your own fairy tale. It also contains a beautiful poem entitled "You Slept in My Arms" which is dedicated to all lockdown babies. To all new and soon-to-be-new mothers, many congratulations and socially appropriate hugs! I sincerely hope this book brings you so much happiness. So, grab your copy, a herbal tea and a pen, and enjoy!
