About this ebook

About the book – Book 1

At 26, Axel's life had been turned upside down. His grandfather and only living family member beyond all reason, had just been brutally murdered. Axle had walked in on a sight that would haunt him for the rest of his days.

Two years prior, the love of his life, fiancée Sarah, had mysteriously disappeared the night before their wedding. Her blood had been found alongside the road leading from town.

He'd never known his mother, who died that fateful night when he was born, of suspicious circumstances, to which his grandfather refused to speak of.

With this gaping hole in his now empty, fragile heart, and being a prime suspect for two crimes in such a short space of time, would Axle be able to unravel any possible clues to his grandfather's violent demise and prove his own innocence?

    Chapter 1

AXEL STOOD STARING into the freshly dug grave, where his grandfather had just been lowered into. As the well-wishers started to drift away from the area, he continued to stare deep in contemplation at the site. He was used to death by this point, having lived his entire life in the shadows of that inevitable fate. His mother died the night he was born, and the circumstances were such that his grandfather refused to speak of it. At twenty-six, Axel simply knew that the night he entered the world, she exited. She took her father’s heart with her that night, and the shell of a man that was left, always had sadness visible in his eyes.
