I started learning french on my own about a year ago and most often I only found books that catered to the younger generation and consisted of words way beyond my comprehension as a beginner as they were seldom used in everyday conversations. If you already started to learn french this book will help you to improve your vocabulary. I read every chapter at least 2 times. Repeating is another good way to get how to use “that word you don’t know”. And the chapters have short quizzes which help you to test your understanding. Amusez bien !

This is a fantastic book for French student. What sets it apart is that it introduces, but then defines new vocabulary regularly. In the off chance that you used context to incorrectly learn a word, there is a comprehension quiz at the end of each chapter. It's a great book and you will notice that since the first page!!

I have taught myself fluent Spanish, fluent Portuguese and now I am learning French, good content for learning any language is actually hard to find on the internet. This book and everything put out by French Hacking is such great content! I have been learning french for about a year and a half. I have found over my years of language learning, reading is a MUST and really is the core of learning a language. This book is so helpful in that regard. The English mixed in keeps you with it and makes it fun and engaging. I enjoyed the way it was written and appreciated it very much.

Somehow the content of this book match perfectly with my french skills. It makes reading much more enjoyable and easier while learning new vocabulary used in context. I am also surprised how exactly the words, I dont know, are already translated at the end of every page. Perfect for people like me who are annoyed of looking everything up again. Finally I totally agree with the fact, that the stories are indeed useful to learn everyday french compared to any other literature like newspaper. I am glad I found a new method of improving my comprehension skills in french.
