About this ebook

Growing up in the Christmas-crazed theme town of Yuletide was fun for fashion designer Rachel Chambers until a family scandal made her unwelcome. Eight years later, she’s home for a friend’s wedding and trying to go incognito… until her old flame spots her.

Snowboarder Gavin Blake wants to make things right with Rachel, and smoothing her way back in Yuletide seems like the best way to do just that. Making Rachel his date for a week of pre-wedding parties is sure to bring them closer. Except he underestimated how long a small town can carry a grudge--or how much the memory of a long-ago kiss could tempt him all over again.

As the wedding approaches, Rachel remembers all she loved about her close-knit, Christmas-loving neighbors. But even if she can win over the town again, will she be able to convince her footloose, mogul-shredding wedding date that they can find happiness beyond the holidays?

DNF at 13%-the first 13% is just basically repeating the events that chased Rachel out of town so many times that it is either excessive filler or the reader is supposed to be forced to pity Rachel. Poor Rachel, her dad embezzled the town. Poor Rachel, she has the Scarlet Letter because she kissed her ex-boyfriend's friend. Poor Rachel, she has to hide herself and sneak around town so they won't come after her with pitchforks. It was redundant and irritating. Furthermore, it already made it abundantly clear that Gavin, the one she shared the controversial kiss with, is famous, handsome, perfect, and will be the hero and Prince Charming. I cannot finish this book and I cannot imagine how it is the third book in a series. A woman returning to a town of bad memories and the feelings of being allergic to the whole holiday only to find there was some unfinished business and feelings are sparked. A quick read for the holidays. One of those books you can pick up and sit in front of a crackling fire and finish in one sitting.I received this book for my honest review through librarything early reviewers.

This was a sweet, predictable read, and a refreshing break from heavier and required reading. It was a little confusing at the beginning; I felt as if I were plunked down in the middle of the story and had to catch up, but as I read the back story became more clear. Gavin and Rachel had a past misunderstanding but rediscover themselves when both venture home to Yuletide for the wedding of two old friends.

Rachael must return to her home town, the 365 days a year Christmas Village of Yuletide, for a friend's wedding. Knowing that she must confront her past, she is surprised to discover that she still has feelings for her old crush, Gavin. I must admit that I'm not usually a reader of romance novels and can't make any judgement on how this book compares to others in the genre. I do, however, love a Christmas story, and am a big fan of the holiday read. I really enjoyed this book. It's light, fun, and a little silly, but it's a great holiday read. Enjoy it for what it is.I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I'm a glutton for holiday romances, and this was just what I needed to get me out of a current reading rut. Cute, sweet, and a quick read; it was lovely without being remarkable or memorable. Thanks, Smashwords, for the free copy!

I received this book from Early Reviewers. I enjoyed the concept of this but the execution left something to be desired. The writing didnt jive well with me and found that there was a lot of repetition and the plot moved at a snails pace until the very end. The ending seemed rushed and everything wrapped up too neatly. I also didnt connect with the main characters at all. I did really enjoy the Christmas feel and setting to the book.

A Chance This Christmas is a cute, fluffy holiday read. There are some questions raised by the premise (ie the heroine hasn't been home in eight years--where does an 18-year-old with no obvious means of support other than her now-single mother go during college and semester breaks? How and when did she reconcile with the friend whose wedding she's back in town to attend? Why hasn't her father been caught in all that time? Is he really that much of a criminal mastermind??) and more than a touch of insta-love by the story's end (yeah, they were high school friends--but one kiss and then no contact for the aforementioned eight years?) but if you're willing to let go of logic and just go with the feel-good holiday flow, then this Road to Romance series book 3 could be the story for you. At the very least, it'll have you looking forward to hot cocoa and ugly Christmas sweater weather.Rating: 3 stars / C+I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

A Chance This Christmas by Joanne RockA Road to Romance Story #Who knew a kiss could keep a woman away from her hometown for eight long years? With a promise to her New York friends and the goal of righting town-perceived wrongs Rachel heads home to Christmas year round themed Yuletide – the town she grew up in. With Christmas around the corner, the season of tourists and visitors at the highest level, the wedding of her best friend to her long ago boyfriend and her father still at large after embezzling town funds eight years ago Rachel hits town and runs into the man who was kissing her when another man proposed on the day her father absconded with the town money. Rachel and Gavin are given a second chance at finding happiness together and almost all wrongs are righted when a secret is shared by one of the townspeople before the end of the story. If you are looking for a quick easy Christmas story to read and like second chance love stories set in cozy communities this might be for you. It has no big events or unveilings but is a sweet read. Thank you to NetGalley and Tule Publishing – This is my honest review3 Stars
