Connor Whiteley
Hello, I'm Connor Whiteley, I am an 18-year-old who loves to write creatively, and I wrote my Brownsea trilogy when I was 14 years old after I went to Brownsea Island on a scout camp. At the camp, I started to think about how all the broken tiles and pottery got there and somehow a trilogy got created. Moreover, I love writing fantasy and sci-fi novels because you’re only limited by your imagination. In addition, I'm was an Explorer Scout and I love camping, sailing and other outdoor activities as well as cooking.Furthermore, I do quite a bit of charity work as well. For example: in early 2018 I was a part of a youth panel which was involved in creating a report with research to try and get government funding for organised youth groups and through this panel. I was invited to Prince Charles’ 70th birthday party and how some of us got in the royal photograph. Finally, I am going to university and I hope to get my doctorate in clinical psychology in a few years.

Samiud:
One world.
One god-forsaken world.
This one world started it all.
If humanity was just… cleverer then this whole war could have been avoided.
But no- of course not. Humanity just had to get involve and raid that planet.
Didn’t it?
I’m sorry Chancellor let me begin at the beginning please while my communicator transcripts this final message.
As you know I am Scout Dex. The lone survivor of the Samiud massacre and I am here to warn you Master of Humanity that war is coming.
So please listen to the story carefully.
We had heard rumours about our next target to conquest and raid because the planet of Samiud was infamous in the system of space we were currently conquering. As other alien race which we traded with or slaughtered would warn us of this planet.
I remember one Priest type alien pleading to my captain to avoid the planet as well as not touch it with our corrupting, vile taint.
Then my captain crushed the alien’s skull with his bare hands.
Personally, I felt sorry for the alien because what has humanity become… a monstrous species, conquering worlds, stealing their resources and then killing all who supposed us.
We were the invading my Lord Chancellor!
We were in the wrong!
And you will soon learn the price of this tyranny my Lord!
Anyway, we ignored the alien’s plead, naturally because we thought we ruled the stars righteously and when we landed on the red desert-covered planet of Samiud. We were amazed. As a result, the endless structured forged by hand out of pure untainted gold, jewels and adamantium.
All of my glorious Captains and Commanders were beaming with happiness as this was the find of the expedition.
Furthermore, if my Captains had told Earth about this place and the resources it held then they would have sky-rocketed to Commanders, Admirals and more…
Following our initial scans and findings- my Captains ordered us to tear down all the structure, bomb the landscape and get all the planet had to take back to earth so this so-called Mighty Republic could build more powerful machines.
But I will tell you this Chancellor I have seen what humanity is capable and by the Magi’s Will, we are too powerful. Nobody has the right to will such power to be able to destroy entire species, civilizations and not even receive wounded.
Yet I happily smile at knowing this… death will come to humanity and we will finally be put in our place.
We are NOT gods!
We do not own this galaxy!
Our time is over!
Back to the story, as we were tearing down the structures a group of aliens turned up. They were wearing thick blue armour with strange snake-like heads.
I was reasonably close to my Captains and these aliens as they spoke, yet the wind was in my face, but the aliens looked angry, so they were asking us to leave.
However, humans being humans said no and shot the alien in the head.
Seconds later the world changed, the desert’s sand was soaked in blood.
The structures screamed in pain.
The sky became blood red.
Finally, out from the ground, thousands if not millions of spiky beast like creatures climbed out. Starting to massacre my friends, my captains, my commanders.
At that moment, I made a choice.
RUN!
So, I did Chancellor- I ran as fast as I could back to the land shuttle then I jumped on it and left.
Out the window as the shuttle zoomed into orbit, I saw all of my friends screaming in pain as they cut down like dogs.
+You will live. Tell your people this: they will know death!+
That single line echoed in my mind for hours if not days.
When I reached orbit, I was hoping to escape in the Battle Barge and use Slidespace to get back to Earth to tell you in person.
Nonetheless, when I returned to orbit the fleet was under heavy fire. There must have been three thousand warships attacking our tiny ten ship expedition fleet.
So, I rushed out the system and two days later… the ship is about to run out of power, and I am finally within distances to a republic relay stations four solar systems away to broadcast this final message.
I hope this message means that you can prepare for what is to come but remember this we deserve everything that is to come!
Becoming a Magi:
So- the glorious Magi Order decided to recruit me.
Me of all people.
For what was I?
Except for a mere orphan human in an ocean of mightier humans?
So- to say that
