About this ebook
The war is almost at an end. The Uprising have seen nothing but victory in every city south of the GarretStar.
Now finally in the capital of the Aligned Stars, the penultimate step in returning the land to a Kingdom once again is about to begin.
But is all as it seems? That the uprising armies have been overwhelmingly successful cannot be denied, but are they telling the truth about the BloodCycle?
Is the Commander telling the truth?
Or is there more going on than meets the eye? Lucienne certainly thinks so, and it's time for something to be done about it.
This is the sixth step in the New Order's takeover of Mother Vixen, each step can be read standalone, or as part of the New Order series as a whole.
The sixth is the most relevant to The Cycle of the Skulk's first book Mother Vixen, so it is the first to be released.
Goldie R.P. Boslem
Goldie R. P. Boslem is the pseudonym adopted by Will R. Boslem and Dan P. Goldie, two Scottish authors making their debut in the world of Fantasy-Fiction. The unreleased Mother Vixen is the humble first step into a world that will grow faster than readers can anticipate, through The Cycle of the Skulk series and beyond. Will and Dan bring different assets to the table as authors, having taken entirely different experiences from the world, to create their own. Dan has graduated from university and came out the other side with a degree in English and History, and has spent the last few years working with the public, enlightening him on countless different personalities and lives. Will spent a few years touring the country with his band, and now excels as a tattoo artist, enlightening him on countless personalities and lives in a completely different setting. Together they have a broad range of experience with people, environments, culture and the world. On top of that they are both avid readers, gamers and TV marathoner's, which helps in keeping their ideas unique and fresh. Since their school days, long before all of that began, they have been creating together. For almost a decade their world has been in the making, moulded and transformed, ideas batted back and forth every week, until the Kingdom Mother Vixen was finally born. The beginning, middle and end have been in the two authors' minds since the very first night the world was imagined, they knew the ending of the series before they even began to write. However the way that ending is reached has dramatically changed over the last decade, growing beyond anything they ever imagined on that first night, and continuing to grow every day. They both love creating their world, and are never happier than when they are writing, and hope the readers enjoy their tales as much as the authors did spinning them.

Prologue
The ridiculous northern, should-be well-groomed grass was one of the things that annoyed him most as he crept through the nighttime fields. They were well maintained, that much was plain and clear, but it had been a long time since the last person had maintained them. Lucienne presumed it must be due to the war.
But for him, that didn't excuse the result. Long, thin and soft blades crept up at least three feet, they had to be, because they tickled his nostrils and played games with the longer of his nasal hairs as he skulked through the edge of the small forest, trying to catch a glimpse of the army he could hear so clearly coming from a somewhere direction. It was hard to tell.
In his mind, the entire war was based on a ludicrous concept. Two groups of people fighting over their separate beliefs, which weren't even that different in the first place. Up until recently, he hadn't believed at all in either of their religions, he had been offered no reason to care. But when the war started to become dangerous he took a sudden notion to research each side with an open mind, to see which one might deserve his support down the line. If any. He would never involve himself directly, that would be ridiculous. But he wanted to ensure that his older brother had chosen the right side.
So far he was thinking the opposite, truth be told. They might be looking more inclined to win the war, but the religion of the 'new order' read very rushed, forced, nothing more than a simplified version of the current Divinus faith. All they seemed to have done was denounce the BloodCycle as blasphemy, and declare the Feynesons as a heretical belief. Yet the public were throwing themselves behind their cause with reckless abandon. Which begged the question, why would anyone want to rush a false religion? They must have something to gain. And whatever it is, it won't be beneficial to the whole of the Vixen like they say it will be, that's for sure.
He kicked himself as he thought he heard a voice reply, then realised that there were in fact a few talking amongst themselves. Distinguishable voices, not just a cacophony of sound. He must be getting close, so he followed the rabble of the crowd. They could only belong to the soldiers, nobody else would be out camping in the middle of GarrettStar at a time like this.
He broke the edge of the forest and saw at the other end that he was right. Sat and stood in the clearing in all manners of tattered iron, shining steel and clinking chainmail, mismatched consistently with the prominent blue tunic underneath, were several hundred soldiers. They were all armed to the teeth, bows on nearly every back, and large shields where there was not.
Lucienne made sure not to let his presence be known as he crept closer to hear what the voices were saying to the night. He made for a particularly large oak just outside the small forest that would shield him from the vision of the soldiers, but the sight of one of them pissing right next to it made him stall, his heart thudding in his throat.
Had the bastard spotted him, above his rapid torrent of urine? Lucienne couldn't be sure, so he stood as still as a statue, watching the excruciatingly endless stream until the man finally finished, and walked away with a satisfied ahhhh that was good.
Thank the Feyne,
came his muttered relief as he crept towards the tree through the tall grass, carefully avoiding the urinated blades.
Lucienne peeked his head round the side and scanned the group for his brother, ignoring what they were saying. He could see much more clearly from his new position, even in the dim light, as he studied the forest of heads looking for the one that belonged to Martin. But the sight of an obscenely tall, slender man with a pony-tail that nearly reached the base of his back and must have been taller than most children caught his attention. Are we all gathered?
he heard the giant softly ask one of his subordinates.
Yes, sir!
the soldier responded, almost too forcefully. Clearly this man held a high status among the soldiers, they all hushed and looked over when he approached.
Good. I have one thing to say, to all of you of while you are here.
He raised his voice. "The Divinus are nearly completely crushed. If we can remove their capital, their head, they are as good as dead. Only four Regents remain, and two of them are right here in this city! Garrett has four outposts around the city, one on each, North, South, East, and West. We are going to split into four groups and take them out simultaneously.
"When we are finished, we shall rendezvous in the town of Dolice, north and slightly east of here. Each of your captains has a map, and you all know who your captains are for this mission. I myself am leading the assault against the eastern outpost. My personal friend, Captain Loren, has the western assault, General Carielle is leading the northern, and King Lysander himself the southern.
All of you, separate yourselves alongside your respective captains, and follow them to the campsite they will lead you to. We are to wait out the day, rest, eat, train, and prepare. Tomorrow night, we all strike at once! We show the Divinus what we can do, separate as one! And then we wait for the rest of the forces to come up, and together we will all attack the northern quadrant of Garrett's city when they take the other three. WE WILL RECLAIM THE VIXEN!
The crowd of soldiers all jeered and whooped and cheered, audibly adoring the giant speaker, after waiting on his every word with baited breath. Even Lucienne felt himself drawn in by his charm and allure. That man...the speaker... What is... Why..? Is...he..!?
I. When the Call Came Round
I must confess, I did not expect to find you here, Brother. Of all places! North of the capital you claim to defy. What a coincidence.
Martin's eye twitched in irritation. It was an involuntary habit he couldn't kick. Lucienne, if you don't shut up now, I can't promise I'll be able to stop these good men behind me from carrying out whatever repercussions they deem appropriate.
He looked blankly at his younger brother, daring him to test his threat. There was no reply. Good. Now tell me what you're doing here.
"Outside of the Capital? Mayhap's I'm planning to join the Divinus guarding Garrett. I've heard that there might
