To Reader:
Before reading the actual story, there is a large portion of history. You do not need to read most of history. Someone could still enjoy and understand the story without it.
The map in the story only shows places vital to the story, there are other settlements, lakes, and rivers in this world.
Religions: Sudruno
There are four different gods. Zargoul god of death and war, Lady god of love, Ogen god of water, and Krock-Shea god of sand. There are three realms the Holyfields, Plains of Time, and the Bottomless Pit.
The Holyfields is where good souls go and where the gods spend most of their time. Plains of Time is where souls that have not been judged yet go. The Bottomless Pit is where Zargoul punishes the horrible souls. As the religion progressed they chose gods that they pray to the most, causing conflict between them. They all are meant to show respect to the Hudruno, the sacred leader that has divine connection to the gods. A new one is put in place when one dies.
Sudruno: Orthodox Law and New Sudruno Law
Like many religions Sudruno has rules and principles. Originally there were the orthodox laws. These rules state that the Hudruno has more power then the crown. Women can’t have high positions of power and all magic users are less then a common man. If anyone doesn’t follow the religion or the laws they must be punished severely. New Sudruno laws are extremely different from the orthodox ones. They do not commit violent acts towards magic users or people of a different faith then them. Currently most follow New Sudruno laws.
Black Star
It started in the south of Crumdus. A large black ball of fire makes a crater in the ground. A being looking like a man appears out of it, but he is pitch black. His face and any details of his body are not able to be seen. Black fire comes off of his body but doesn’t spread or burn him.
He talks to many people and tells them he is the only god and you shall not worship fallen ones. It came during the further development of civilization.
The god’s name was Mesmaric and it claims to have spirits that he made that made it to the earth.
There is said to be after life. He sent its messages through profits.
The followers of Boedack-
In the desert of Dishk in the beginning of civilization a large man made of stone about fifty feet tall. It said that it was a Guardian called Boedack.
Guardians are makers of realms in the religion. Boedack is the creator of this realm, and all that die shall join in the realm of the Guardians.
Worship will allow Boedack more strength and ability to make the realm of Guardians a better place for humans. His body turned to dust that then flew into the air. The people of Dishk try to spread the message throughout time, but they know non-believers will be excepted into the realm of Guardians.
1. History: First Dawn
The current year is 1,035 S.D. S.D. stands for the Second Dawn as time was not recorded during F.D., the First Dawn. In the beginning of the First Dawn which is only remembered by stories of tablets, man was reduced to caves, mud huts, and small tribes. Humans didn’t even have an official way of speaking. It had seemed that this would be the way of life forever until the arrival of the Tookar.
The Tookar were a race of advanced and generous beings. Tookar looked like humans. Tookar had milk white skin, averagely 5 or 6 feet tall and had no mouths. They had two vertical slits where their nose would be and a small black dot on the forehead that allowed them to speak. Somehow it allowed their race to speak through the mind. Their eye’s were completely black like their nails.
Humans had different types of hair color, but Tookar have only silver or white hair.
When discovering more of the continent humans were found by them. First humans were taught how to speak making it easier for communication. After humans could speak fluently the Tookar could teach many things to them. Hunting was the only way to obtain food before the two races met. Farming was taught to man, soon corn, wheat, and many different crops were grown. Instead of going and hunting for meat they learned to just capture animals and breed them. Later wooden houses would replace huts and caves. Cave walls and tablets replaced by paper. Stone and metal used to make tools more efficient for the tasks needed to be done.
Civilization had its advantages. Anarchy to laws and order. Small rags to robes and tunics. Huts made of mud to houses of wood and stone. Making all the decisions for the people was extremely difficult because there was no leader. Soon a system would be used to change that.
Monarchy was used to command and lead civilization. It was introduced by the Tookar.
Dostros Rivers was the first human king and monarch. At the end of the first dawn Dostros Rivers met with the leader of the Tookar, King Daz Da. Humanity had still much to learn. Time and the recording of events was the next step to greatness.
King Daz Da explained hours, days, weeks and years. After being told this King Dostros started the first year for Humans. And the first Dawn ended as the second began.
History: Beginning of the Second Dawn
Building Age: 1 S.D. to 200 S.D.
The Kingdom of Man expanded and thrived, colonizing new land. The Tookar stayed to the north and did not wish to expand. Their capital Gorgilith and other settlements were surrounded by snow and mountains so it remained undesirable to the Kingdom of Man for no farming could be done there. Men were sent to the south to explore. The kingdom resided in the far west and before colonizing the south they would be better in the area they already had.
King Dostros wanted to build a capital that would be remembered forever. It was called Relic and it would be made of white marble. The king demanded that it have the tallest walls.
Around the area of Relic was the only place to find Relic tree’s with golden leaves that contain and produce caftday. Caftday is a blue dust that can be highly explosive. Sadly the building of Relic would not be done in Dostros’ time.
Many fortresses and castles were built. Trading was becoming extremely hard for buying and selling so currency was used. Coins were used to be the currency. The coins were made of metals such as gold, iron, silver and other ores. Gold was usually the most valuable of them but it depended on the area the coins were used in.
52 S.D. at age 67 King Dostros Rivers died and had no wife or children to take his throne.
An underground tomb was built outside of Relic for him to be laid to rest. Stone stairs led far into the ground to a large and wide tunnel. Dostros’ stone coffin was put into the side of the wall where the tunnel began.
Above the coffin on the wall there was writing. Here lies King Dostros Rivers, first king of man and builder of Relic. Died age 69, 52 S.D.
His most trusted adviser was Alfred HobbwheeI later to be known as Alfred the Worthy. Many were not trusting of the decision to crown him. Others worried that because of his old age he would have a short rule, but most did not worry for he had five children. Only three survived to adulthood and two died from illness.
The exploration of the south came to an end and the building of a
