About this ebook
Did you know Santa Claus is not the only Christmas gift-bringer in the world?
As a matter of fact, they're Twelve Christmas Heroes that give children gifts each Christmas.
Every year, Santa and other Christmas figures from around the world gather at a glorious castle for a meeting to discuss how things are going and how their annual trips went.
Wouldn't you like to sit in on that secret meeting? One individual got that chance.
Santa arrived early in town. He was feeling tired and desperate for help. You see, Christmas spirit was at an all-time low for the Heroes. While standing next his reindeer, he encounters a man who agrees to accompany him on his journey. Who is this mysterious man and who sent him? How can he help our Heroes regain their faith, passion and their own Christmas spirit?
You will meet all sorts of characters from around the world, listen to them tell their stories and learn about their cultures. From the seemingly stern Grandfather Frost of Russia to the Christ-Child from Germany to the Old Christmas Witch of Italy and more! And, of course, there are those whose spirits might take a little extra to lift, such as an angry Christmas gnome and the mischievous Yule Lad. What will the Heroes decide to do in the end? Can they regain their Christmas spirit or will it be lost in history?

The Twelve Heroes of Christmas - Christopher Good
Chapter One: The Stranger
HE IS WATCHING, HE is listening, He hears these words...
God help us!
A very familiar face utters those words, his rosy red cheeks and white beard are unmistakable. He takes off his hat and using his gloved hand he rubs his head; Santa Claus is exhausted. The night is December 26th, the town is Bethlehem. Santa has arrived early, stopping in town to get a bite to eat before heading to the annual meeting of the Twelve Heroes of Christmas. This meeting takes place every year in the same place in the same town under the same star which may be the most famous star in the world—the Star of Bethlehem.
But tonight, things would be a little different for Santa Claus. Just after uttering those words, a man appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. The man he sees is tall, muscular and he had short curly brown hair. His appearance startled Santa.
I’m sorry, did I scare you?
Santa was reluctant at first but then smiled, It’s alright. How are you?
The face of the mysterious man softened, I’m doing well, but you seemed troubled. Is there anything I can help you with?
Santa sighed, I’m just tired, very tired. My reindeer are exhausted and I don’t think they can go any farther for now. I’ve had a long journey and must venture a little further tonight for a meeting. It appears I will have to walk.
If you wish, I can escort you on your way.
The stranger replied.
Santa waved him off, No, no thank you, I’ll be fine.
The man stepped in front of Santa, I insist; it is no trouble. I was going for a walk anyway. I’m Gabe.
He stuck out a large hand. Santa grasped it.
Very well, I’m Kris.
The two begin their journey. They walk for quite some time and so Santa begins to confide to Gabe, telling him all about their annual meeting. Every year the Heroes of Christmas—twelve in total—meet to discuss how their year went and their gift bringing voyages. Santa goes on to explain, however, that things haven’t been quite the same for the past few years. Greed, corruption and poverty increase while compassion, heart and love decrease. There are some people who have so much while others have so little and thus, the job has become taxing for all twelve of them.
Santa comes to a stop Well, we’re here,
he says looking over at Gabe. Gabe looks up, amazed as this beautiful castle seems to be in the middle of nowhere. The castle is bright white, almost glowing and has large red
