About this ebook

This book is very unique. It talks of the Philosophy of Prof. Mukhopadhyay. Prof. Mukhopadhyay prefers to read the minds of human beings more than reading books. There are many aspects of his philosophy which are highlighted in this book, since he is associated with the field of teaching and learning nearly for three decades for that his view about the education system and philosophy about the education system of the world is portrayed in a very nice manner in this book in several places. Mainly it is highlighted that teaching must be a love oriented process, not fear oriented. He has given very high emphasis of the sexual life of people. He believes in open minded culture and supports the live in culture of today’s world and he talked at length in this book since sex is an integral and inseparable part of life. No one can deny sex, because he or she is born out of it. Most of us are having a wrong idea about sex and we practise it, but refrain ourselves from, it. That is not correct. In these modern eras our old school of thoughts need true amendment and we need to accept the generation gap and unless we accept it, society will reject us. Because change is inevitable and it is only thing which is bound to take place with time. If any reader goes through this book with sincerity the dimension of his or her life is bound to change forever. Prof. Mukhopadhyay is a counsellor in global level and this is the book through which his philosophy will spread across the world and billions of people will be benefited through this book.

Philosophy of Prof. Mukhopadhyay - Prof.Suvasish Mukhopadhyay

In this word most of the people think of the past and they generally don’t think of the beautiful incidents of the past. They always think the sad incidents, quarrels and bitter experiences of the past. Their minds become heavy and their thinking pattern can be compared with carrying a hot oven on their head. Due to this type of negative thinking the outcome becomes not even zero, it becomes negative. They become the victim of depression, blood sugar and blood pressure. Regarding past we should think only one thing. The first and foremost is that the past can’t be changed and second is that we must not repeat the same mistakes which are committed by us in the past. The less one cares for his past, happier he becomes. Future is nothing but past projected again, and both are not. Your mind must be like the mind of a child. Why children are happy? Because they don’t know the term resell value. An adult mind always thinks of the resell value. If you give a very small diamond and a large American diamond to a child, certainly the child will be more attracted by the dazzling and bigger American diamond, but an adult mind will always hanker after the original diamond, because it is costly.

I found in city life people discussing about the price of their apartments. But it is an utter foolishness. Your apartment where do you stay can be compared with your body parts e.g. Heart, Lung and Kidney. Can you sell your Kidney? The answer is a straight cut NO. Because without the kidney you can’t survive. Same is the case with your apartment or residence. You can’t sell it, then where will you stay? But the so called people don’t understand this simple thing and they go on discussing about the prices of their apartments.

I sometimes think human beings are the most idiot community of the world. They don’t even know what to discuss and what not. The day this cross section of people will know what to think and how to think that day the world will be full of people with wisdom. Though that chance is zero. There is a little difference between knowledge and wisdom, just like the difference between science and philosophy. Where Science ends, Philosophy starts from there. Similarly the end of knowledge is the starting point of wisdom. Knowledge can be acquired by reading books, but wisdom has to be attained by reading the human beings and nature. A qualified man may not have wisdom; on the contrary an illiterate person may be having wisdom. Because wisdom is directly related to your vision, imagination and power of foreseeing; it doesn’t have any relation with the paper degrees. Our mind should be like the mind of a child, who can be made happy very easily. Just offer some coloured stones to a child. He will be happy and engrossed with them, but an adult mind will refuse to accept the coloured stones, because it knows that coloured stones are not having any values in this world. Here value means financial values. The mind of a child knows how to dream, but an aged mind stopped dreaming. It always counts the failures. We rarely count what we are having; we make a jumbo list of the things which we are not having. I know people who don’t have a single idea about photography, but all of them possess costly DSLR cameras. They don’t even know their eyes are the best camera gifted to them by GOD. They don’t enjoy the beauty of the nature; they just try to capture it. Abstract things can’t be captured. You can enjoy the lingering fragrance of cologne, but you can’t capture it. Our basic tendency is to arrest everything, but the real pleasure of life lies in freeing the things. In spite of arresting a bird in a cage, make it free and let it fly and see it flying and get the pleasure. Our whole thinking process needs modification and amendment. The root of our thinking process is wrong.

Right from the childhood we were not taught how to think and what to think. That’s why we become depressed very quickly. Our eyes are covered by the dust of bookish knowledge, which is the most useless thing of the world and which creates ego and ego is the root cause of all problems. When at the end of life you become fed up with this life for your wrong pattern of thinking then you need to die. You need to die, because your role gets over in this world. When all the accounts are closed then there is no option rather than death. Death is the ultimate end. Each moment all of us are marching towards death by one second, but seldom have we realized that. There is no harm in death, but it must be a joyous death. Most of the times people survive with negative mind set and their minds become dead much before their physical death. Once one’s mind is dead he is dead. Death is nothing but disappearing from this physical and materialistic world. The body remains. Only the soul mixes with the cosmos.

One’s heart is the most important thing. Though the heart is placed in the left side of the body, but it always gives us the correct signals. There are two kinds of people. One group is guided by heart and the second group is guided by brain. Heart always gives you the correct decision, but that may not be profitable. But brain gives you the diplomatic decisions. They may not be correct, but you make profit out of it. Whenever we follow our decisions which come out from the heart we become happy, but this sad, bad and mad world teaches us to listen to our brain in place of heart. Your heart is the centre of emotion and sympathy. A man who listens to his heart may not be rich but he is bound to be happy. Love flows out from your heart. So the decisions which come out of your heart can’t be wrong. But seldom people take the decisions by their heart. They apply crude logic and they make even the sacred relationship of marriage like a deal. A marriage needs only two souls who want each other, but in reality now-a-days a marriage means a gathering of thousands of people, wastage of money and throwing weights and it is a platform of competition of how much you are able to spend. Rarely the couples are asked whether they understood each other or not. I have witnessed the marriages of the children of many big politicians. In those marriages the bridegroom and bride are side tracked and the political career of the father is highlighted. The presence of the celebrities become more important than the sacred sanctity of the marriage. In the very root we create the mistake and only for this reason these marriages are bound to fail. Separation can be delayed but not avoided. In a marriage love is must. Love is the foundation of all marriages. If it is missing the marriage becomes unconsummated. As food is the requirement of the body, similarly love is the nourishment of the soul. Love is that hidden thread of the necklace whose name is relationship. If you compare the word relationship with a necklace and each person with a precious stone, then love is the string which holds all these people together. Love has the biggest power. It is even stronger than nuclear power. Nuclear power is used for analysis but love is there for synthesis. Love is not only a four letter word. It is the foundation of all relationship. But often we commit a mistake. Most of us want to be loved by others and we often complaint like the mother-in-laws; that the newly married son’s wife doesn’t love her. The basic philosophy of love is that, first you give it. You go by one step; the world will come towards you by ten steps. Everyone wants to be loved, but rarely people want to love others. Love is just like an echo. You give it, it will return to you with more force. We often say after the death people go to heaven or hell. But it is not at all true. Heaven or hell is place created by us only. In Indian scenario often you will see people spit on the road, but they never spit in their drawing room. They make their drawing room a paradise, but the society is made a hell by them. Why? Just because of their selfish attitude and thinking of separation. They think their own house is the only place which has to be beautiful and with outside world they don’t have any connection. What a great mistake! If your house is compared with the system, then the society is the surrounding. Unless the surrounding is beautiful, the system can’t be. But who will convince this simple philosophy to the common people? Heaven and hell are not different places. It’s we who can convert the same place to heaven or hell. Human mind is the most complicated thing in the world. It can be softer than the flower petals on the other hand it can be harder than stone. So your mind is the main thing on which your whole life depends. So give maximum importance to the proper thought pattern of your mind. More correct the thought pattern will be, happier you become. Love adds good personality to a person, but it doesn’t lose its own existence. It is the only thing like knowledge which is increased by sharing.

Often we find parents to beat their children for different reasons. For performing poor in the class often the children become the victim of torture and it is the most common phenomenon in this world. Most of the parents treat their children like dividends.

I know a person who once told me, Do you know; I gave everything to my son right from costly bike to good LAP TOP, still he is not performing well in the class. I just smiled. That idiot friend of mine tried to correlate the bike and LAP TOP with the academic outcome of his son. Whereas there is no relation between these two factors. But who will make them understand? Most of the times young boys and girls are compared by their parents and guardians with the toppers of their class, but how many parents were toppers in their own life? Secondly comparison is the highest form of insult. By comparing your child with others in spite of boosting his moral values you demotivate him or her. People think by beating the children they will be able to raise their intelligence level. Is it possible? It is a negative process. On the contrary by beating the children the parents close all the doors which were still open. The child becomes frightened and stops performing. They suffer from phobia and a mind which suffers from phobia can’t perform well. Only a mind free from stress, fear and worries can perform. While performing a mind must be free from all three sixty degree angles. Seldom we the parents realize this basic truth. The worst thing in this world is comparison and the term competition is the outcome of comparison. A competitive mind can score well, but it will never be full of knowledge, because its main motto is different. It only wants to reach the top. But while reaching the summit of the mountain they forget to see the beauty of the nature. Due to torture and comparison of the parents the children become the victim of depression and frustration. In today’s world counselling is even more important than education.

I came across thousands of students who are misguided and misdirected. It’s not possible for me to counsel each one of them. That’s why I am writing this book, at least this book will act as a comprehensive package of counselling to the students who can be compared with the blooming buds and who are the future of tomorrow. Not only the students’ community; people from all walks of life will be certainly benefited by this book.

Due to torture and comparison the students become depressed and morose and secondly a silent revolt starts within their mind which is sometimes very dangerous and many times it acts like boomerang. The more numbers of suicides among the young cross section is nothing but the manifestation of this unseen revolt. They can’t take revenge, so they end their own lives and by that time it becomes too late for the parents to do something. The cross section of parents are so idiots, still they are unable to trace out their faults. Children are the greatest gift of the GOD for a couple. Neither they should compare their child with anyone, nor should they pamper the child. There must be a judicious balance between the two. Every parent must be careful about the psychological health of their child. Most of the times we the cross section of parents bother only for the physical health and physical well being of our children and we totally forget to concentrate or focus on their psychological heath. We must not forget that mind is the pivot on which this physical body is balanced. So if the mind is disturbed, then the physical health has to be disturbed. Seldom have we realized that. There are two kinds of revolts. The violent revolt attacks the society and another one is deep psychological revolt which affects the own mind and body. The increasing numbers of suicide and cases of depression are nothing but the manifestation of this deep psychological revolt.

Right from the childhood children are taught to respect the costly things. Many times I found two dresses in one shop. One is very good looking and relatively cheap and the other one is not that attractive but very costly. But there are people who will purchase the costlier one just to satiate their ego and to outshine others. For them look is not important, the cost is important.

In this world there are two types of personalities. One is pretty personality and the second one is pleasing personality. A pretty personality can be managed by visiting a beauty parlour, but no beauty parlour of the world can add a pleasing personality to a human being; because it comes from within.

I visit different malls. I found the ladies of the upper and affluent stratum of the society shopping in the mall and they are assisted by their poor maids who are not at all good looking. Whereas those high society ladies are all having pretty looks. But most of the times I found a pleasing personality among those poor maids but never I had the opportunity to find pleasing personality among those high society ladies. The major barrier is their ego of status, position and affluence. Ego destroys the base of the beauty and it’s a universal truth. An egoistic mind can’t have a pleasing personality, because one’s ego is clustered and that clustered ego corrodes him or her from within and it can be compared with damage of wooden furniture by the termites. It’s a slow but uniform decaying process. With each passing day the condition becomes more and more
