Quantum Entanglement and Collective Unconscious. Physics and Metaphysics of the Universe. New Interpretations.

About this ebook
Despite the enormous distance between their disciplines, the two scientists established a collaboration that lasted more than twenty years. During that time they never stopped looking for a "unifying element", able to reconcile, on a scientific level, the reasons of the psychic dimension with those of the material dimension.
Unfortunately, they did not achieve this goal in their lifetime, but they were prophets of a new scientific interpretation of the universe. In fact, the evolution of knowledge in the field of quantum physics, and above all the experimental confirmations of phenomena such as quantum entanglement, re-evaluate their theories. Today the idea of a universe that is not divided into "material objects" strongly emerges. The universe is not divided but consists of a unique reality, made of spirit and matter. This is the reality that Jung and Pauli called "Unus mundus". Matter and psyche have equal dignity and contribute together to the existence of the universe.
The "Cenacle" is a place of knowledge and study. We believe it is the most suitable environment to resume work from the point where Carl Jung and Wolfgang Pauli interrupted them.
We can say that, today, scientific news ennobles their research and projects them towards even more daring interpretations than they had imagined.
Carl Gustav Jung was a Swiss psychologist and psychotherapist, well known for his theories on the collective unconscious and synchronicity. Pauli is one of the fathers of quantum physics. On Pauli we can say that in 1945 he received the Nobel Prize for his studies on a basic principle of quantum mechanics, known as the "Pauli Exclusion Principle".

Let's start with everyone's experience. The strange coincidences.
––––––––
The strange coincidences are such common experiences that no one believes they can doubt. Carl Gustav Jung talks about it with an example:
By chance, I find that my tram ticket has the same ticket number as the theater I bought immediately after. If during the evening I receive a phone call in which anyone mentions me that same number, it seems unlikely to me that the relationship between these facts is accidental
There are also less striking coincidences, which however surprise us because within us they take on the meaning of an almost impossible connection.
Infinite examples can be cited. See
mentally a friend in a difficult situation, and then find out that that person actually lived a negative episode. Many avoid behavior because they feel uncomfortable. For example, they don't get on public transport. They later find out that the vehicle was involved in an accident. Some dream of a forgotten friend because he lives in another city, and the next day they meet him on the street.
All of us are often witnesses or protagonists of similar facts. At the beginning we are a bit surprised, but then we decide that it is a case, and we store everything in some corner of our mind.
In reality, coincidence
does not always equate to chance
. This is demonstrated by the fact that some coincidences generate problems in our mind that remain unsolved for life.
However, these episodes resurface in the mind and stimulate our curiosity together with a vague sense of mystery. We have the feeling of an indication or a suggestion that we have not been able to grasp.
The well-known psychotherapist Carl Gustav Jung studied this phenomenon for a long time and elaborated many of the theories described later in this booklet. According to Jung, many coincidences are certainly random, but sometimes not. Jung hypothesized the existence of coincidences that could be considered significant or even numinous
(covered with sacredness) and coined for them the name of synchronicity
.
