About this ebook

He slapped the cuffs on me and broke every law in the book.

ALICIA

Gunner Murphy is a wicked SOB.

He's responsible for just about every illegal gun getting smuggled across the border.

As a federal agent, it's my job to bring him in.

I just never expected it to be this hard.

My new partner says he's gonna kill Gunner before he ever gets hauled in front of a judge.

I've got morals. I can't allow that.

Even a savage beast like Gunner deserves a fair trial.

So call me weak. Call me feminine. Call me whatever you want.

But I won't have this man's blood on my hands.

Too bad Gunner doesn't feel the same way about me.

Because as soon as I set him free, the bastard turned the tables.

Now, I'M the one in cuffs.

At least he doesn't want my blood on his hands…

He just wants my juices.

He wants my moans.

My begging, pleading submission.

And the most screwed up part of all this chaos is…

That's exactly what I want to give him.

    Chapter One

    Gunner

What can I say? I like shiny things. I like how chrome sparkles in the hot, desert sun. I like the feel of steel and aluminum when they’re heated up from using them. I like the sound of the wares rattling behind me as I shoot down the highway and back into the states. There’s nothing in this whole damn world as good as a van full of shiny objects – especially when they’re shiny objects that I stole myself.

No thanks to my Raiders friends, that is. But hard work has its rewards too, and once I’ve cashed in on these weapons, I’ll be able to buy all the friends I could ever need. Friends, and a few pairs of nice breasts and a whole bunch of booze. I’m practically throwing dollar bills at them all as my mind drifts past the red-gold sunset to the left of me and the endless road ahead of me.

I know I should be paying better attention to what’s ahead of me instead about daydreaming of the party that’s awaiting me. It’s not like me to lose my focus, but I’ve been in Mexico for so long now that this trip back into the States feels almost surreal. Blackstone sent me out here six months ago to prep, plan, and execute one of the largest raids in the Iron Raider’s history.

You’re gonna do it solo, he told me as he rocked back easily in his chair. I hope that’s not going to be a problem.

A problem? I asked Blackstone as I shrugged my shoulders. You know me, man. I’m a lone wolf. It’s better to do shit on your own then to have to trust some assholes to do their part.

He smiled slightly, the curve of his lip showing under the untamed beard and mustache. That’s what I thought you’d say. You’re the only man I trust to get this job done and don’t think I won’t reward you for that when you return.

Looking back now, there’s something about how he said, when you return that I didn’t catch in that moment. It was the sound of his voice, the way that it almost floated over all the other words. I’ve been good with Blackstone since he took over for Rage nearly two years now. He earned his spot fair and square, though I wasn’t necessarily supporting his candidacy for Iron Raiders president.

Me not jumping to his side when alliances were made probably didn’t earn me any favors or put me in high regard, but at the time, I wasn’t backing any of the three men up for the position. I kept my cool and my quiet, and I waited to see which way the wind was
