Nuala was ducking behind the castle walls of Dunamase. She was waiting for a group of young men to end their Samhain celebration. The drunken youth didn't know it, but they are kin of hers. The Lawlor clan was a prominent family in the region, one of the Seven Septs of Leix. Their family had been here since the dawn of the first millennium. She wasn't familiar with most of the family history, only picking up tidbits from old stories and some texts she managed to snag. She was desperate to be apart of her clansmen, but unfortunately, the little woman would never be accepted. And it was because she was the bastard of King Osgard Lawlor. Her true lineage was known only to a handful of people in Dysart Enos. Her father kept her alive, despite being ordered to mercy kill her by the former king. She was passed around to various lowborn families, hiding her in plain sight. This worked until she was eleven years old. For a few years, there was a hope she would be married to a McEvoy boy, who was from one of the other septs. It was an exciting prospect, yet was stopped cold when puberty wasn't kind enough to her. Rather, it wasn't present at all. She had been teased for her disproportionate limbs, but it was something more than delayed blossoming. Especially when her height never surpassed four feet tall.
