About this ebook
Sam Brandis was Tate Jones’s first: Her first love. Her first everything. Including her first heartbreak.
During a whirlwind two-week vacation abroad, Sam and Tate fell for each other in only the way that first loves do: sharing all of their hopes, dreams, and deepest secrets along the way. Sam was the first, and only, person that Tate—the long-lost daughter of one of the world’s biggest film stars—ever revealed her identity to. So when it became clear her trust was misplaced, her world shattered for good.
Fourteen years later, Tate, now an up-and-coming actress, only thinks about her first love every once in a blue moon. When she steps onto the set of her first big break, he’s the last person she expects to see. Yet here Sam is, the same charming, confident man she knew, but even more alluring than she remembered. Forced to confront the man who betrayed her, Tate must ask herself if it’s possible to do the wrong thing for the right reason… and whether “once in a lifetime” can come around twice.
With Christina Lauren’s signature “beautifully written and remarkably compelling” (Sarah J. Maas, New York Times bestselling author) prose and perfect for fans of Emily Giffin and Jennifer Weiner, Twice in a Blue Moon is an unforgettable and moving novel of young love and second chances.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I really enjoy that this book was about vulnerability and trust. For the main character it became a defining part of her relationships and I was interesting to see her work that out. It also shows how relationships between parents can be complicated and I liked that there was dimension to her parents and grandmother from the beginning to the end.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was definitely not my favorite book from this duo. I thought it took the whole first half of this book for it to feel like it was really starting. The characters didn't seem developed and their story just didn't feel real.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Greatly enjoyed this story. Oh I was so heartbroken for her! What a trip through. Funny, heart-warming. Sorrow, anger, grief. This one has it all.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Nice quick read. Present day part of the story was lacking. Tate and Sam weren’t together enough in remainder of story. Then suddenly... the end
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5From the moment I began listening to this audiobook, the narrator sounded like a computer version and completely turned me off. I am disappointed as I was highly eager to "read" this one!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Gave me chills and all of the emotions. Loved it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I want more., as in more . It’s a nice story, character development wise, I felt like it could be more elaborated. Their was so many of the characters I wanted to explore as well. And the ending, it did fall in all the right places..but I wish their was more ❤️
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Twice in a Blue Moon by Christina LaurenStory starts out with Tate and her grandmother has taken her on a trip to London after she's finished high school. The family has kept her hidden from the paparazzi as her father is a huge move star that cheated on his wife and left her for another, and leaving his daughter behind. She makes a fool of herself actually having sex with a man Sam, that she met while there and confessed her whole story to him. Before they even get on the plane to come out the papers have it all over the front covers. She meets Marcos who is hired as her body guard and only wants her to make plans for what she wants to do. She was to go to college... She now discovers she has a trust fund and she wants to be an actress. She teams up with her father in a movie where they sleep at the site and she's excited til she meets the author of the script she will be doing.Loved watching them make the movie and the relationships that evolve.I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Title: Twice in a Blue MoonAuthor: Christina LaurenPublisher: GalleryReviewed By: Arlena DeanRating: FourReview:"Twice in a Blue Moon" by Christina LaurenMy Rationalization:I found "Twice in a Blue Moon" quite some read that was about Sam and Tate. They met when he was 21 and Tate is 18. It was a cute romance however what will happen when a betrayal will come that will change their lives. What will happen when 14 years later these two will meet up again? Will Tate be able to forgive Sam for his betrayal? Will old feeling began to surface again for Sam and Tate? And with all of what will be going on who else is in the picture that will cause more problems for these two? This was definitely one story for me that left me wishing that we had been given an epilogue because there were several questions that needed to be answered. All in all, by throwing this story into a 'Hollywood scandal with a father/daughter with issues I found 'Twice in a Blue Moon" an interesting read.I received an ARC of this novel from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A special thank you to Libro.fm for an audiobook listening copy.During a whirlwind trip to England for her eighteenth birthday, Tate Jones fell in love. Sam Brandis was her first everything, including her first betrayal and her first heartbreak. But Tate Jones is actually Tate Butler, daughter of Ian Butler, one of the most famous actors in the world. This fact is something that she has kept hidden from everyone, except Sam. So when he breaks her trust, and subsequently her heart, Tate is shattered.Fast forward fourteen years. Tate has followed in her father's footsteps and is a sought after actor. For the first time in her career, she will be starring opposite her father in a movie—this is her big break. Arriving on set, she comes face-to-face with the last person she expected to see: Sam. He is still so handsome, and as charming as she remembers.Forced to confront the man who hurt her the worst, Tate wonders if Sam could be her happily ever after, or if he was her her once in a blue moon. This was my first Christina Lauren book (I know, where have I been?) and I loved it! It was flirty, fun, and completely engaging. I've been hearing rave reviews about this author team and finally got on the train thanks to Libro.fm.Twice in a Blue Moon had a fantastic premise. We live in a celebrity-obsessed culture that finds the inner workings of Hollywood fascinating, and this book dishes! The writing was clever and captivating with a well-developed back story. There were parts that were so moving and tender—the innocence and excitement of first love was captured so wonderfully. If you love YA and romance, than this book is for you. The beginning reads like a young adult book and the rest is a smart and consuming romance.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Tate Jones has spent most of her life living in a small town in Northern California with her mother and grandmother but for her eighteenth birthday, her grandmother takes her on a trip to London. There Tate meets Sam, a fellow American, and for whom she very quickly falls in love and reveals one of the biggest secrets in her life: she's Tate Butler, the daughter of a beloved Hollywood superstar who disappeared from the public eye when her parents divorced. Fourteen years later, Tate still hasn't forgiven Sam for his betrayal, even if it did indirectly lead to her own career in Hollywood. Now she's working on the film that could move her into awards contention and gives her the opportunity to work with her distant father. However, what she least expects when she arrives on set is to discover that Sam is the writer. Can Tate ever forgive Sam and will sparks fly again despite all the time that has passed?I really enjoyed this Christina Lauren. The novel starts off with an homage to A Room with a View but this isn't a true contemporary retelling of Forster's work. Both the London section when our leads are 18 and 21, and the contemporary section are well written and Tate's life in both is fascinating to read about. If you're a fan of these authors, you're likely to enjoy this one.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I love a most of Christina Lauren’s newer books, and this one had so much potential, but it lacked the luster and depth of some of their others. The forgiveness left me a little confused and the ending left me very wanting. The main leads usually carry a little more of a powerful self-reckoning and I would have liked to see her confront her dad. I suppose we can assume she did after the ending. This story did not give me the tightness in my chest or tears in my eyes I’ve come to expect from CL. But still well written and not too wordy, but still able to fully imagine each moment.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Strong heroine always having to get up and move on.It took quite a while for me to like the hero. I wasn’t sure I wanted it until the end. The emails sold me and I cried buckets at the happy ending.
