Daphne Tzamali “Yakinthou” was born in Athens in 1981. From a very young age she showed an active imagination and loved creating stories that offered her the chance to give life to colorful characters embarking on exciting adventures. At the age of thirteen she wrote her first book, taught herself how to draw, while taking at the same time singing lessons to become an opera singer.At the age of twenty five she wrote and illustrated her first epic adventure for young people and decided to pursue a writing career. At 2012 she publishes with Ocelotos Editions “Astrozacharenia istoria”, the tale of the starsugary Ballerina and the clown Babolino and a year later “Grumpy’s lesson”, another story targeted at the same age group. She has also published many e-books in greek. Among them are the stories “I want to be a prince” “Dewdrop’s child”, “The crystal knight, “The blessed prince”, “The queen of lightning” and many more. She has also published with Fylatos Editions the e-book “The tale of the white harlequin”.Daphne Tzamali, pseudonym “Yakinthou”, is a member of the greek IBBY – International Board on Books for Young people.Today she is dividing her time between all her different artistic activities and her beloved pets. She is still living in Athens.

In this piece I would like to address the subject of the spiritual trials I know every child of God faces, the slow corroding poison of doubt eating slowly at our faith and the cowardly and wicked attacks of the enemy meant to steal away our determination and true desire to serve our glorious, kind and just heavenly Father.

I think most of you know exactly what I’m referring to. In order to find the strength to resist the ultimate villain of this world we need to clarify two basic facts: our Lord is Love, Mercy Goodness and Forgiveness without any shred of compromise or shadow and the enemy is a cunning, malignant liar, a false accuser whose sole purpose is to weaken us flog us with his false accusations and lies, until we are rendered powerless to serve our Lord. The fact alone that we are able to feel guilt, that we are uncertain about our actions, that we are able to see our weaknesses, proves we are good and beloved children of our Loving perfect Father, because frankly those doing evil willingly and with bad intention have no trace of guilt or qualms of conscience and the enemy wouldn’t bother to accuse them because he knows fairly well they are his and he is quite satisfied with their selfish, destructive actions. No, the enemy wouldn’t attack them, because he has no interest whatsoever to weaken his own pawns, he attacks and undermines only the good, kind people trying to make a positive difference in this world and serve the Lord.
