CHAPTER ONE
Everybody is born with a unique gift. People discover the greatness in them when they passionately develop their gift and end up as great people. This means that, we becoming beacons or not, depends largely on our ability to discover our gifts and our readiness to develop them with great passion. Some people discover their gifts very early in life and vice versa. Some people also discover their gifts but fail to believe that they have the ability to make their gifts shine. One thing is very clear, if we intently discover and develop our gifts, we definitely will be the beacons we dream about and in turn affect our community positively and the world at large.
This story recounts how a man called his children together after they had had dinner. His only son wasn’t all that brilliant and for this reason, he saw himself as a failure. He therefore wanted to quit school when he was only in class four (4). His son claimed that, his friends always laughed at him because he had registered a very ridiculous position in class. Andrews was always second last in class and he sometimes was even last. Considering how bleak things were, he said he had had enough and therefore wanted to quit schooling.
Seeing how worried Andrews was about the situation , his father thought it wise to tell stories
