Composed over a period of 36 years, Exile and Kingdom Come represent a journey through the surreal, the metaphysical and the visionary extra-dimensional realms traveled by the author. A compilation of three complete works, the poems are peopled with the many women, men and children whom the author has shared his journey with. In these pages we encounter the buffalo, eagle, hawk and crow; clouds, crystals, rainbows and stars; neutrinos, anti-matter and hyperspace. We will meet figures out of myth; Persephone, Hercules, Diana and Venus; mermaids and naiads. Like children listening to fairy tales, we must let these magical visions wash over us and open our dreaming minds. In precise and highly evocative language Gregory Wallace brings to life realms of vision and feeling well beyond ordinary logic or language and approaches the highly symbolic state of the dream and myth.
