About this ebook
Everybody likes to go to grandma's house, no matter where they may live, and grandmas live in all kinds of places. Some grandmas live on farms with horses, chickens, and cows; some live-in condos, some in the city, and some in the country. Heck, a grandma can live just about anywhere, but that is always where the fun is, wherever they may be.
As we get a little older we come to realize that as great as grandma was, and grandpa too, it wasn't really always them that we came to see, but it was our cousins who were usually there to play with.
Oh, to be a kid again, maybe even forever, where the world is green, the jokes are original, the air is fresh, and our friends are the best. We are brave, but not too brave; we are innocent, but not too much so; we are shy, but we work to overcome it, and we are full of mischief, yet we don't hardly realize it. Our days are full, our fun is glorious, and our responsibilities are few. In time, we grow a little older and we look to the future, but still we cling to the past. After all that's where all the fun was, wasn't it?

Grandma’s house: Where cousins go to become best friends

He had wanted to play the drums, that’s what made his eyes light up, but his Mom and the band teacher had a private little meeting and created a strategy of their own. They already had two different drum players in the band, but they had no one to play the flute.
The flute was what girls played,
Morris had thought, but his complaints were ignored and now he was stuck. He promptly got volunteered for this little wind-instrument and he could see no way out of it. And to top that off, the band practiced every Thursday afternoon, which was the same exact time his favorite TV show was on. He really did not like going to band.
Today was Thursday and Morris was not looking forward to practicing the flute. It was a drizzly, dark, and rainy kind of a day, and that made the mood even worse. Tick-tock-tick. The clock continued to beat as the day wore on.
Finally, the bell did ring, and Morris watched dejectedly as his classmates beat it for home. Eventually, his spirits low, he got up from his desk and wandered outside by himself. He shuffled through the playground, walking slowly towards band practice, which was held in the
