Danger and Despair
Parts of the lush green forest radiated a faint orange. Smoke billowed out from the forest, the wildlife scatters from the commotion. The clangs and cries from the battle drowned out the critters. Someone was launched with power slamming into a tree, the sound thundered through the entire forest. A loud thud thundered through the forest, animals scurried away from the broken tree. Dracon stumbled back and wiped the blood from his mouth. He knew he would die soon, he had lost his tribe. Dishonored, death was inevitable by the hands of his tribe's mortal enemy the Abrazayh tribe. This is the part where we kill you. Right Dracon?
Dracon leered at them and growled. They snickered back. Your not even worth the effort to kill. fight us again when you have training, power, and strength.
Then they turned around simultaneously and walked back to their village. Dracon's vision and pain was getting worse and worse as he struggled for air. His life flashed before his eyes, Visions and memories of his loved ones danced in his head as he was losing consciousness. He heard noises of the forest as he fell over like something was coming to finish him off. He had no energy left to even attempt to fight. He let the darkness take his tired body.
A nice feeling hits him as he regains his awareness, he heard chirping and rustling as if he was inside the forest itself. no wait, he was inside a tree. W-wait how did I get here?
He could barely say. An angelic voice responded back.
It's ok, my friend rest for we need to repair your body before we can talk. I need to explain who I am, where we are, and what happened. I can tell you, you are safe and I am here to help you. Dracon's body was tense he could move, but everything hurt so he just rested. He saw leaves and wood around him along with squirrels and birds. He took a wild guess of who was talking to him. The voice sounded to perfect.
Are you a forest elf? The room was eerily silent.
How in Gods name did you guess that? the voice asked. Dracon chuckled spitting out a little blood as he was slowly healing.
L-Lucky guess I suppose, we had stories as hatchling's you know. We apparently used to be close with forest elves. I don't remember much else. The elf came into vision, she smiled warmly.
Well yes, until one of your Elders
burned down an entire forest. But, I head the critters telling me someone needed help. I ran along the trees to see you falling over from blood loss. I help animals and innocent people in the forest as good-will." She tucked the warm leaf sheet on Dracon. She fluffed and added a pillow under his head. She bowed, her job done for now fadeing out
