Nancy Bush
Bestselling author Nancy Bush has had an eclectic writing career. She started her first story when she heard how young mothers were making money writing romance novels. She thought, "I can do that," and talked her sister, bestselling author, Lisa Jackson, into joining her in her foray into writing. Nancy began her career in the romance genre, writing both contemporary and historical novels, but being a mystery buff, she kept trying to add suspense into the plot, as much as her editors would allow. In 2002 she was chosen by ABC Television to be part of a writing group "think tank" which was tasked with developing story for ABC's daytime dramas. She was one of two people selected from that group to actually become a breakdown writer for, at the time, one of ABC's top-rated daytime shows: All My Children. Nancy made the move to New York to join the AMC team while she was writing for the soap. That was an experience, she admits. Ask her, and she'll swear that the pressure cooker of delivering story every day - lots and lots of story -- helped focus her writing. When Nancy returned to her home state of Oregon she channeled that newfound energy into writing the kind of books she's always loved: mysteries. She is the author of the gripping mystery novels Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Huide, Nowhere Safe, You Can't Escape and I'll Find You. Like her sister Lisa, she's now a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, both in her co-writing ventures and on her own merits as well.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I'll Find You by Nancy Bush is a perfect summer read. Callie Cantrell is staying on the island of Martinique to recover from the loss of her husband and son in a car accident. But was it an accident? Then West Laughlin mistakes her for his brother's widow, Teresa. Teresa is part of a group led by "The Messiah" who con money from men. The more Callie learns, the more their lives become entangled. Callie has even become attached to Teresa's young son. Then the other woman is found dead. Who killed her...and why? Romance is blooming amid the danger is getting closer. Nancy Bush, as usual, keeps the reader caught up in the world she has created.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book piqued my interest right from the beginning. Andre, the self-proclaimed Messiah, has his handmaidens carry out jobs for him scamming men for money and even killing. We do not know why, but he alludes to a long term aim which he doesn't want his handmaidens to know about. Terese, his favourite handmaiden, has killed twice that we know about, recently forcing a car off the road and killing her lover and his son.
Callie Cantrell is spending time on Martinique, where she spent her Honeymoon, trying to get herself together after her husband and son died in a car accident. She meets a young boy named Tucker and they begin a relationship of sorts, Callie using Tucker to help her heal, Tucker needing a substitute mother as his is an absent parent who lets him run wild. She has big gaps in her memory from just before the accident.
West Laughlin accosts her in an alley accusing her of being someone called Teresa and being involved in his brother's death. How are Andre, Callie and West linked? How is the little boy Tucker involved? He is a lovely character, so full of life.
It's exciting with lots of twists. Just when you think one thing might happen, something else does. The ending is quite a surprise and I was not able to figure it out until the last few pages. A very good story that was a quick read due to wanting to find out what happens next. If you have read any of Nancy Bush's other books, this is a stand alone thriller you will not be disappointed in.
