Mariana grew up during the time of war. She found herself involved in politics and was sent as a spy by the ruling party to get information from the opposition. Things didn’t go well as planned as she fell in love with the General of the opposition party and became pregnant. The only solution was to reach her father for help. The father had to protect her daughter and unborn grandchild from politics by sending her away. The General came to know about this and threatened her father who had to make sure that his daughter and grandchildren lived in peace even after his death. He used deadly missiles that destroyed almost the entire nation. This plan though brought pain. Mariana managed to give birth to baby boy but the boy never knew his father and promised himself to avenge his father’s death and in a way about to kill his own father who was still alive.

About the Author

Daniel Mugaviri was born in Masvingo Zimbabwe and is currently staying in Cape Town South Africa with his family. He studied Theology from different Institutions such as BTCP SA, Global Bible College, Great Commission Bible College - USA and Trinity Graduate School of Theology and Apologetics – India. He is now doing Doctorate of Apologetics (D.Apol) with TGSAT. He is the founder of Charity Organisation called You Are Not Alone Africa. He devoted his life now in helping homeless people with food and clothes, helping orphans and elderly people.

He cannot be our next general, he is just a gardener. You know the law of this country, are you out of your mind?

You are putting this country at risky. Mr President, why are you so quiet?

I am not quiet brigadier Stone, I have been friend of this man for more than fifty years. He has been my advisor since then. I am here where I am because of him.

Yes, Mr President, now he taking down you with him because he is about to go. You can take a gardener and give him the position of a councillor but people will complain. He is not even a security guard for Gods sake wake up comrades. You even know that this country is under threat. Our political oppositions are against us and they cannot wait to celebrate our down fall.

What about terrorists? Not to mention that when they heard that you just resigned. I know we understand your situation but these people will not. Secretary say something please, this man’s cancer is now in the head. Shut up you know nothing, if you want to replace me why don’t you just say it. Can I speak to the president alone?

Danny grew up not knowing his real father. He believed his father was killed during the war. His mother Mariana kept the secret for entire life. Mariana worked as an agent during the struggle. The war started with an internal feud between two political parties and ended up being a war of the continent.

Mariana was the daughter of a well known University Science professor. She was very intelligent, others say she was following grandfathers footsteps. After high school she attended University where her father was teaching. Mariana never knew her mother. She was told that her mom passed out few months after her birth. In her second year at the University, things went bad in her country. University students became a target of political parties. They were taken to the training for only three weeks and sent to fight.

The war was between the Communist party and the Liberators. Mariana knew she cannot hide for ever, so she had to take a big step. Instead of being taken, she decided to offer herself to one of the party. This was against her father’s wish, but he let her make her own choice. She decided to join the Liberators, but on her way to their camp, she was taken by the Communist party members. Within a week, the Liberators asked other small parties to join them and form an Alliance. This was a breakthrough for Communist Party to achieve their goal. One Political Party which was to be formed within few days and become popular. This was just an act so that the Liberators can approach them. Surely they approached and asked the affiliation.

Guess what, who were the party members? Mariana was leading the Security of this party. So their conditions were to let Mariana become part of Security team that will take over the government. Mariana was not only intelligent, but beautiful
