    This story is fiction based in fact.  Two children of South Dakota prairie during the worst time in history lived, loved, lost and regained their lives but at what cost?  Lloyd and Betty were my parents and I want this to be their story.  We must keep the past in our present, good or bad because it's a reminder of what was and what could be again.  I want people to know these Prairie children and to love them as I did and remember what they went through.
