About this ebook

This book by Guy Boulianne is a collection of texts written and published on his website between the months of June 2016 and January 2017. It follows the first volume that introduced the reader to his personal quest, both spiritual and historical. From mysterious France to the origins of his family, the reader could then follow him in his discoveries which he shared without any restraint.

In this new book, the author focuses on explaining the origins of his ancestors. From the Viscount of Nîmes Ursus to militia Captain Jean-Marc de Bouillanne, to Judge Paul Boyer de Bouillane, he traces the course of history and manages to link dates, places and events to make everything coherent.

He now wishes to go further by using Y-DNA analysis, followed by autosomal DNA analysis, to demonstrate whether or not the Bouillanne family is blood — bound to the Planta and Planta de Wildenberg families. In fact, the two families lived in the same regions, where the Dauphiné was in France and Switzerland, they participated in the Assembly of Vizille in 1788, which foreshadowed the French Revolution, and they own the same piece of furniture on their respective coats of Arms, The Bear's Paw. DNA genealogist Jean-Pierre Gendreau-Hétu wrote to him : « I hope this experiment will succeed! You could succeed in establishing one of the oldest Y-DNA signatures in France known to date! »

"Know thyself" is the precept that is engraved at the entrance of the temple of Delphi. Tirelessly, Guy Boulianne continues his quest for the Grail that will reveal to him the secrets buried under the veils of time. The author invites you to follow him on this yarn of Ariadne.

Guy Boulianne

You seem to have answered your inner call (blood call or forest call?) and managed to find your place in this world. I find it inspiring. It had a similar effect on me a few years ago when I read the books of N. De Vere and found so many coincidences between old myths and my journey, between my symbolic system and that of an extinct people. Yet you seem much brighter than the prince of Vere, and yet still alive.

    Introduction by Robert Tiers

    Dear friend Guy Boulianne,

Thank you for the honor of writing this brief introduction to your book : the genealogical history of your ancestors, descendants of one of the branches of the grandchildren of Japheth, grandson of Noah.

Since our first meeting in your house, in the woods of Lauzet, in the spring of 1997 … the friend, the late Didier Danjou¹, gathered that day two researchers passionate about history. The photograph of Nicolas Poussin’s painting in our living room reminds us of sincerity: to continue our common ideas to this day. You immediately understood when you saw this picture of the painting : it was a great discovery, a topographical map, with many symbols…

The history of the Grail and the history of France are linked to mythology.

    — Robert Tiers², 26 September 2018

² Robert Tiers, a researcher and art historian, is famous throughout France and Europe for the meticulous investigation he carried out around the painting The Garden of the Hesperides, which he rightly attributes to the Grand Master of the 17th century, Nicolas Poussin. His investigation has been going on for over forty years. It was in 1997 that Guy Boulianne first met Robert Tiers in Avignon, with whom he undertook a very long correspondence to this day.

On November 3, 1975, recalls Robert Tiers, at the Fair of antique dealers in Toulouse, a painting Le happe. A bucolic landscape under a setting sun. Sitting in his son’s restoration workshop in Paris, where the Garden of the Hesperides, as he baptized it, is stored, Robert Tiers, 84, is still convinced of it : the canvas is the work of Nicolas Poussin to which the Louvre devoted a retrospective in 2015. I proved it, he says. A thesis which the experts have neither confirmed nor invalidated to date.

Know yourself and you will know the universe and the gods

« What is the meaning, who is the author of the sacred precept which is inscribed on the temple of Apollo, and which says to him who comes to implore God: do you know yourself ? It seems, it means that a man who does not know himself cannot pay proper homage to God or obtain from him what he pleads. »

    — Porphyry, treatise on the precept

    Godefroy de Bouillon

Godefroy de Bouillon, King of Jerusalem (1058-1100)

Bookplate by the lawyer Boyer de Bouillane in Nimes and Franz Rudolf von Planta

I bought myself two collector’s items: the bookplate of the former magistrate and lawyer at the Court of appeal of Nimes, Pierre Paul Henri Dominique Boyer de Bouillane (20th century, 52 x 48 mm). Born in Grenoble on August 4, 1848, her wore on his coat of arms: Banded, Azure to a sinister Bear Paw. with the slogan Spe ET Patientia (hope and patience). The bookplate is registered in the Bulletin of the Society of Archaeology, and Statistics of the Drome, volume 25, p. 338 (Valencia 1891), as well as in the database of the French Association for the Knowledge of bookplate (Ref.: B4174).

On September 9, 1874, Pierre Paul Henri Dominique Boyer received the official authorization to add to his name that of his adoptive family, De Bouillane, and to call himself in the future Boyer de Bouil-lane, the name now transmissible. He was the son of Austremoine Boyer and Marie Anne Julie Mathilde Tropenas, and the grandson of Antoine Henri Etienne de Bouillane De Lacoste. Paul Boyer de Bouillane was deputy prosecutor of the Republic in Die (Drôme), lawyer in Valencia, and lawyer at the Court of appeal of Grenoble and Paris. A knight of the Order of Saint-Grégoire-le-Grand, on July 24, 1908 he died at the Château de Cuirieu, in Saint-Jean-de-Soudain (Isère) on July 24, 1908.
