She gasped as her hand was grabbed to get her down from the table and the rush of exhilaration was strong when she was hauled across the room towards his desk.

“What are you going to do?”

“Teach you a lesson,” he replied, without looking at her.

Jenny’s arm stretched out as she was led around the desk. Dr. Fraser dropped into his seat and his grasp on her wrist pulled her face down across his legs. Her fantasy was suddenly coming to life like she could not believe and it was clear straight away that she wasn’t the only one getting excited.

“You’re a bad girl, Jenny Kendrick,” Dr. Fraser said.

“Yes,” she agreed and her voice became even more strained.

Jenny wiped her clammy palms on the sides of her jeans as she approached the door. She reached out to open it and faked a limp even more when she walked inside. The gaze of the receptionist came to her and she was aware of the older woman’s skeptical expression, but kept her face composed as she closed the door then moved forward.

Miss Kendrick, the receptionist said in a curt voice that made no effort to disguise her slight irritation. What’s the problem with you today?

Jenny feigned a smile of embarrassment. That it was her third visit to the medical practice in as many weeks was starting to make things obvious, but her crush on Dr. Fraser grew stronger every time she saw him and she couldn’t stop herself.

I hurt my leg at softball training, she said.

Half of the statement was true in that she did hurt her leg, but it was nothing to do with the softball she played. The self inflicted wound was caused by her banging her inner thigh against the edge of a table the evening before. It was sore, but the limp she put on was for effect.

Did you now, the receptionist said in a voice that revealed her skepticism. That’s unfortunate, but I’m afraid Dr. Fraser is extremely busy today. As you can see there are patients waiting already and there are no spare appointments.

Jenny felt the disappointment wash over her, but she wasn’t about to give up.

I can come after hours, if that would help, she said.
