--Shelly D., Fort Lauderdale.

WHY PHILADELPHIA?
Philadelphia is one of the most popular cities in the U.S. for visitors. Philadelphia is also one of the most historic cities in America as it’s home to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were signed. Philadelphia, known as the City of Brotherly Love, is also the fifth largest city in the U.S. so there’s obviously much to do and see. Some call the city the birthplace of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and most believe it lives up to that slogan.
Philadelphia is overflowing with history and if you’re visiting here are the attractions that you should not miss. The Liberty Bell, located on Market Street, is the symbol of freedom and this cracked bell is a historical gem. Independence Hall, on Chestnut Street, offers guided tours and visitors get to see where the Declaration of Independence was signed. The National Constitution Center, on Arch Street, offers a variety exhibitions and shows about the U.S. Constitution and American history.
Franklin Court, on Market Street, is the site of where Benjamin Franklin’s house once stood and there you’ll find a museum with a print shop, a post office where you can send letters hand-stamped with Franklin’s original postmark. Elfreth’s Alley, the oldest residential street in America, features a museum with several historic houses. The Betsy Ross House, a 250-year old house furnished as it was during Betsy Ross’s time, features artifacts and history about the famous flag maker. Christ Church & Christ Church Burial Ground, founded in 1695, is the church where man of America’s leaders worshiped and the graveyard where many are buried. American Philosophical Society Museum is a museum
