About this ebook

Body Blogs is based in  TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and focuses on how we can keep our bodies healthy and in balance by choosing the correct foods to nourish the different body systems ..

The Author feels that there is a correlation between: Our Thoughts, Our Emotions, Our Organs and What we Ingest - and it is this correlation that either keeps our bodies healthy and in balance or in dis-comfort and in dis-ease.

This book contains valuable information about the body organs, how they are affected by our thoughts, our emotions and what we ingest or what we should ingest to keep them balanced and healthy!

Using foods as the perfect medicine and combining them into blendable diets will keep the body's organs running at peak performance and in turn keep the body in perfect balance and perfect health!.

Filled with diagrams and charts – Kidney/Bladder, Liver/Gall Bladder, Spleen/Stomach, Heart/Small Intestine and Lung/Large Intestine - Acid/Alkaline Foods, The Five Flavor of Foods, Proper Combining of Foods, and a suggested way to eat each day.

The Author has had more than 15 years of study in the TCM system and has composed the food combinations contained within these chapters based on her knowledge and expertise.  She uses these systems herself to maintain her  balance and her own healthy alternative lifestyle.

This book is not intended to be a diagnostic tool but a guide to supplement any conditions that the reader may have that was already diagnosed by their physician or health practitioner.

We offer this book in the hopes that you, the reader, will find that using  simple foods in simple combinations as 'medicine' will keep the balance and harmony in your own life!

Eternal Health!

In traditional Chinese Medicine, all health is achieved by keeping the body in balance. Qi or Universal energy enters the body and travels along pathways called ‘meridians’. When these pathways are open and receptive, the Qi flows naturally. When that Qi is blocked or obstructed then there is dis-comfort or dis-ease in the body. What causes these blockages or obstructions? There are thought to be many causes; normal aging, sudden injury, unhappy thoughts, negative emotions, impure foods and incorrect use of drugs or alcohol are a few that can cause disruption in the flow of Qi.

Within these pages are some thoughts about how to keep this Qi in balance. We have focused on the important body organs, their Yin and Yang (their counterparts) that are all part of that miraculous system. This system has been keeping people healthy for over 5,000 years, and is documented in the Yellow Emperor’s Book of Conditions which is used even now in the course curriculum for becoming a Chinese Acupuncturist or a Chinese Physician.

We hope that you will enjoy learning a little about Traditional Chinese Medicine which has always fascinated me. Shirmu, my Qigong teacher was in her 60’s when she taught me, and her Master Teacher, Yang Meijun, was 103 and still teaching Qigong.

    Introduction:

    What Are Body Blogs ?

    What Are They Telling You?

More importantly, what are your answers???

Bod-y Blog: (böd`ë blög) n A Body Blog is a message from your body to your brain to alert you to the fact that there is a condition within the body that needs your attention. I like to call this part, Body Blogs, or Body Talk, similar to what you do on your cell phone or computer. You blog and talk through your social network. The body does this, also. There is a correlation between your body, your thoughts, your emotions, your organs and what you ingest. This is your body’s social network. Its links are the meridians, or the energetic pathways.

Our bodies’ blog us 24/7, and most of the time we do respond to some of this talk:

Body Blog #1 – I’m Hungry – please feed me!

    Body Blog #2 – I’m Tired – let’s sleep!

Body Blog #3 – I’m Thirsty – could I have something to drink?

Other times we do not listen to what our bodies are trying to tell us. I mean REALLY TRYING TO TELL US. When our bodies BLOG or TALK TO US other
