Colonisation
The green peas where all in a line in the pod
Each ready to be eaten after being grown
Hatched into a world of consumerism
Cause and effect grow more food
Make more peas and feed the populace
It’s not like the peas had a say in this
Seeds were planted and grown
After being watered and fed with nutrients
Days passed into weeks and the food grew
Just as the world population did
Our planet tho overpopulated and overused
Could support over twenty billion people
Expanding at a frightening rate
This was no problem and plans were in place
First we fill up the world
After that it was bases in space
And then habitats on the moon
Followed by Mars and the other planets
And further on into other galaxies
Hundreds of billions of humans
Breeding like rabbits and colonising the stars
All being fed by green peas
Peas who had no say in any of this
They were just planted and eaten
By the procreating humans...
Delta Wings
The blue machine keeps flying overhead
Buzzing the town and keeping them awake
No reason why just for the sake of it
Round and round twice an hour
Set your watch by him
But there’s a problem here
The year is 1872
And this machine can’t exist
Only futurists and crackpots believe
In powered flight in the heavens
A few men have flown gliders and balloons
But nothing like this aerial craft
We have steam trains and horses
And a few more things planned
Maybe even an iron horse
On land and sea
But never in the air
This flying machine is impossible
Metal cannot fly
Nor buzz our city
It must be magic or the Devil
This triangular blue machine
Blue Lines
The creature lives under the bed
A different bed each night
It has been this way forever
Random locations and targets
It could pick you or me
Or your wife or partner
It hides under your bed
While taking in your details
Building up a profile of you
Then it strikes and owns you
After this event you change
Never the same again
For the creature takes you
And absorbs you entirely
You are just a form or copy
Going thru the motions
Slow go horror film in reality
Life born of the monster
Who lurks under every bed
Only one bed at once
So random it is everywhere
Produce of our nightmares
Nothing will ever stop it
Not even the Devil
For it comes from elsewhere
And chooses to dwell here
Easy pickings of Planet Earth
