Both Sides of Paradise: A Memoir
By Bob Shults
()
About this ebook
Bob tells the story of a splintered childhood interspersed with his experiences during his year as a Military Policeman in Vietnam, then his time as a cop in the outrageous, glitzy ski town of Aspen Colorado. Although his war zone duties and even in the States as an MP and civilian police officer, tragedy and death play a part in his story he realizes he has been considerably more fortunate than many others. Consequently, he often uses humor to make light of his experiences...“Both Sides of Paradise.”
Bob Shults
Bob Shults enlisted in the Army and served as a Military Policeman in Vietnam and the United States. Partied on a cabin cruiser. Moved to Aspen, Colorado where he was a cop, security guard, bouncer, worked for John Denver, crossed paths with Claudine Longet and Ted Bundy, partied some more and skied a lot...not necessarily in that order. He moved to Denver, played darts, met and married the light of his life, lived briefly back east. Moved back to Denver in time for the Columbine High School and Aurora Theater shootings. Took up bicycling and became a Christian. Bob was born in Schenectady, New York in 1945 and attended the State University of New York at Farmingdale but that’s not really relevant to his story, nor is the fact that he has written several columns in Boy Scout and skiing publications and an editorial in the Aspen Times, but it looks good in an author bio.
