Chapter 1
I can’t believe yer marryin Jack O’Donnell!
Ruth’s best friend, Mia Harper exclaimed in disbelief, catching up with her. Why? What’s wrong with im?
Ruth asked, quickly adjusting her borrowed gown and touching up her makeup. He’s so nerdy an’ he’s always wearing silly costumes.
Mia replied. He’s cute an’ he’s preparin to become an actor. That’s his lifelong dream, Mia.
she defended. Is that why he’s...
her friend began to ask.
Ramblin on about movies an’ bringin up movie trivia all the time? Right on the mark, Mia!
a voice interrupted her. Wow! Ya really can pull off a tuxedo!
she remarked, staring at the lanky actor wannabe in amazement. Aye, I’m actually in line to be the next James Bond!
he joked, before leaning in to kiss Ruth, the bride-to-be. An’ I’d be delighted to be the next Bond girl! But, right now, we’re late for our wedding, love!
a blushing Ruth reminded. Just a final touch....
he whispered, pulling out a blossom which he’d safely tucked away in his pocket, before placing it in her hair. Perfect.
he whispered charmingly, before pulling her closer. Save somethin for the wedding, lovebirds! We promised Fr. Maurice that we’d meet im in the park at five, remember?
the annoying friend reminded, interrupting the young couple’s romantic moment.

IMG_20180204_125234-300x300.jpgDo ya, Ruth Clara Richards, take this man to be yer lawfully wedded husband?
Fr. Maurice asked. I do.
Ruth replied, smiling up at Jack and giving his hand a friendly squeeze. An’ do ya, Jack Albert O’Donnell, take this woman to be yer lawfully wedded wife?
he asked, turning towards Jack. No,I do not!
the serious-looking groom replied, taking their friends and family who’ve gathered in the park for the special occasion by surprise! What?!
a heartbroken Ruth exclaimed, glaring at him. Gotcha! Of course,I do! Till death do us part, love!
a beaming Jack exclaimed, letting out a little laugh at his joke. Oh! Thank god!
Ruth whispered, heaving a sigh of relief. Ya folks actually believed it, didntcha? It’s called actin!
he revealed to the astounded guests, flashing them a toothy grin. Ya almost gave my dad a heart attack!
Ruth scolded him. I’ve a baptism to get to, ya 2. If yer done playin around, could ya just exchange rings an’ kiss the bride already?
the impatient priest reminded. Done...
the amused bride muttered, placing the ring on his finger. ...An’ done!
he muttered cheerfully, before leaning in to kiss her, amid cheers and music from the local school band.

Chapter 3
Well, that was an affordable wedding, wasn’t it?
the new bride asked her beloved husband, linking her arm round his as they strolled through the park, interacting with the guests. He nodded in response. Cousin Beth’s even gifted us a trip to Bradford to spend our honeymoon at a caravan park.
she revealed, excited by the idea of a humble, cheap honeymoon. Aah....Caravans, I love those!
he remarked, sarcastically. I was thinkin we’d spend it in L.A., though...
he began, as a mysterious smile spread across his face. L.A.? Los Angeles? Why? That’s rather expensive, love.
she asked, showing signs of uncertainty. The producers are gonna cover everythin, love. Remember the audition tape I sent o’er?
he replied. Yea?
she asked, as a smile gradually formed on her face as she eagerly waited for what’s to come. They loved it! They thought I’d be perfect for the part! They phoned an’ said they’d put us up at a fancy place till the shoot’s done.
he recounted,excitedly. Us?
she asked in surprise. Aye! I’m gonna be o’er there shootin for a year, tops. An’ I know yer gonna miss me, stayin ere all by yerself....So, yer comin with!
he explained. Love...I’m so happy for you! This is gonna be a fun trip!
she exclaimed, lighting up, as she wrapped her arms around him to give him a peck. Aye! An’ yer gonna be seein me in action soon!
he boasted.
