About this ebook
The Fence is a story about the duality that resides in all of us.
On one side of "the fence" is our cultivated, well-adjusted mask, on the other side is darkness, lust, desire, and savagery...
A chilly May night. A sleeping suburban neighborhood. A young man brings his girlfriend home after their date. They're both virgins, but he's ready to take their relationship to the next level. Literally aching, he tries every angle he can think of to help her see things his way, but she revels in teasing him, dangling promises of more intimacy in front of him, only to snatch it away at the last moment. The dreaded blue balls set in, leaving him only one option.
Disappointed, in the concealment behind the fence of her garden, he takes matters in his own hand, literally. To expedite the much-needed relief, he explores dark and forbidden fantasies, things he wouldn't dare discuss with his pure and unspoiled girlfriend...if she'll be his girlfriend for much longer.
But then the ambush springs. They weren't alone, kissing and cuddling on the porch steps of her house. Someone was watching. Someone depraved, neglected, ravenous and ready to grant a young man's wishes. But our young hero very quickly finds out that you should be careful what you wish for. Because what you get just might be a lot more than you can handle...
The Fence is all that stands between us and our animal nature. It serves as a boundary, keeps us safe and civilized until darkness falls and the enclosure fails...unleashing something into the night that is not quite human...
This is a tale we can all recognize ourselves in. Were we not all once a teenager, driven by lust and desire? How hard it was to strike that perfect balance between civility and our animal desires...
Contains explicit scenes.

Chapter 1
Under The Porch Light
Tom’s hopes of getting to second base tonight, for the first time in his life, are dwindling fast.
Come on, Jen, you’re killing me.
He kisses her neck in that extra ticklish spot just behind her earlobe, inhales through his nose and savors the remnants of her fruity perfume on his tongue.
She cocks her head to one side and gives him an innocent look. I’m not sure what you have in mind,
she says with a coy smile.
Tom presses his excitement into her belly and whispers in her ear what he has in mind.
Here? Are you crazy?
she says with a mock-slap.
With flushed cheeks, Jen peers over Tom’s shoulder into the early night. A lone moth flaps around the dimly lit porch of her parents’ suburban home. Except for a scatter of lights from nearby houses and street fixtures, the world is dark and quiet.
He shields her from the May chill with his body. Tendrils of mist rise up from the lawn. An owl shrieks close by, echoed by a distant church bell tolling once.
Aren’t you even a bit curious?
Well...yeah, but…
A self-conscious grin bares her white, regular teeth. What if someone sees us?
She startles lightly when the owl hoots again.
Tom pulls her closer into his embrace to reassure her. Who’s gonna see? Everyone’s asleep.
A kiss on her nose fails to calm her nerves.
You should be in bed too,
he says. I’ll come tuck you in.
She starts to roll her eyes, but then he smooches his favorite spot behind her ear again. He plants kisses on her slender jaw, her cheek, searching the softness of her mouth. Their lips connect for a few fleeting seconds, but before the passion picks up she hides her face in the crook of his neck, warming his skin with a fractured sigh.
Tom’s hands rest on her hips, fingers massaging the small of her back. His gentle touch relaxes her. She doesn’t stop him when his hands move lower still, exploring the upper curvature of her rump.
Jen didn’t have much experience kissing boys when they started going out. In fact, he feels pretty confident he’s the first she’s ever kissed. Her mouth is warm but unadventurous, timid lips barely parted. The tip of his tongue probes, but isn’t met.
After all these weeks, she still won’t fully open up to him. Teasing, keeping his hopes up, but always dangling the next base just a few feet out of reach.
Time to change his pitch.
How about we go for a walk? The fields behind your house must be nice this time of the year.
It’s pitch dark out there, silly!
Another slap, a little harder this time. Strike two.
She looks around again as if she’s worried someone heard her. The scant porch
