    Forward

Dear reader, there are many wild and bombastic ideas presented in the following essays. My intention was to create these characters that would offer up brash opinions for intergalactic discussion, to give you something to consider on a grand scale – sort of like shock jocks on the radio, only with essays and hopefully better. Any relation to reality or real people is probably a coincidence. I hope that what these characters have written, or what I have written through these characters is mostly false, or at least a lot of it very well should be. For it is in getting things incorrect that we come to comprehend the world around us, and it is through exhaustive exaggeration that the truth of our world reveals itself; because, perhaps, this world as we know it is not true.

    Sincerely,

    Joseph

    On Function & Form

Perhaps you think I am not very brave an academic for wanting to discuss a topic like Function & Form which has been studied since antiquity. True, things have progressed well in this vein of research. Most of the predominantly visible organisms have been classified by form, and their functions are somewhat understood.

We know what most animals prefer to eat, and we have even made our own materials. Furthermore, at a microscopic level we now know that a form is a composite material made up of atoms, which are divided into electrons, neutrons and protons. As tiny as they are, torn apart atoms can create large explosions. We learned that in world war two.

Slightly earlier, during the Victorian period, a piece of jewelry became popular in the West: the heart shaped picture locket. You and your love-mate can be forever in love with the purchase of a photo and bejeweled silver heart locket on a silver chain. How does it work? Well there is no time travel involved or microscopes or even transistors. To communicate across forms here you put your lover's tiny photograph inside the silver heart and you wear it around your neck. When the mood strikes, you can crack open the silver piece and gaze at the picture of your beloved. Your big brain makes all the magic happen, and that distant lover comes to life. Even if only for a moment.

In the realm of formness or ideas or spirits or functions the effect of even the slightest object interpreted by the senses is immense. Let's continue discussing what occurs when a Victorian lover looks at the photograph. The brain re-lives what it remembers and sees along the same receptor networks. Essentially, the brain actualizes events of a form. Still working with the photograph example, to get a photograph in Victorian times would have meant sitting there and waiting for the photo to finish. Sitting there quietly, perhaps while others heckled. Or perhaps sitting silently while others looked on silently as well, wondering how it would turn out. A meal would probably be involved, perhaps a little Victorian celebration later. A lover of a sound mind would relive that grainy photograph while looking at the heart shaped locket, so modern human brain scanning technology tells us. However, scientists are not sure why the human brain does this. Why does the human brain choose to fully reenact events? Well, it is as the scientists would tell you: thoughts are nothing more than electricity with a chemical reaction which remembers a particular firing sequence. Your brain enjoys a happy path of electricity tripping across tiny fabrics of fat inside a pool of electric chemicals; these happy waves make it seem during a particularly deep cranial electrical storm like you have total recall when you look at a photograph. So the brain is in effect the catalyst for the transportation of what some might refer to as the realm of the spirits, or Plato might call the realm of the forms, or scientists might view as the core of the homo sapient function.

The Victorians took this idea of moving to the realm of the forms further by keeping entire rooms the exact way they were long after someone was deceased. Prominent record of this occurs in Dickens with Great Expectations. However, the Victorians are not the first to use physical forms to convey the realm of the forms. The Greeks, also, with their ancient statues bring to life in the human brain images of the gods - pulling them from form to the realm of the forms, where they seem real.

The human brain is so easily deceived into moving things into the realm of the forms that often it does not know when it goes there. That is why movies, which are often electronic representations of real things, can trick people into reacting as if the events witnessed were actually real. The author is not above this. Try watching the New Zealand zombie film Dead Alive without turning your head away at some point.

To let you in on a secret, the human brain does not know what the difference between spirit or formness, and what is material or form. For this requires limbs and other members to facilitate the engagement. To make things worse, the brain really does not know the difference between awake or asleep. That is why your senses keep telling the brain, hey, we are awake and this is now! As the saying goes, pinch me. Sensory deprivation businesses that providing wakeful sleep while floating or otherwise take advantage of this fact.

The human brain is like this because it lives in and must interpret a world of shifting forms that may really be the same thing, atoms and electricity - just like the brain. But where did the brain get the idea that it could directly recognize atomic particles or the true nature of its surroundings? The body on a daily basis must at least consume, convert and analyze atoms. We know this. Think of the chemistry involved in converting a glass of Coke Classic into urine, and in the time it is done! The olfactory system filters the dirty city air and allows the brain to directly analyze scent bearing molecules, this is how you smell. Now consider the human ocular system, it filters light particles and converts them into electricity for the brain to interpret. Also, extremely fine are the movements of the eardrums whose thickness is typically somewhere around 0.0024 inches. Truly, the human brain operates on the microscopic and often at an atomic level. The human brain can even interpret minute electrical signals.

The brain can create a bridge between what is intransigent and what is transient or what is unseen and what is seen, and vice verse. Yet, because manifestations of electrical signals and chemical states in the brain match current thought processes it can be said that the brain is a living mirror. To assert this conclusion, it must be then that two identical things in the universe would have a paring because this conclusion supposes that the anti-form of one thing can call another thing to form: the un-living things can impress upon the living things and the seen things can communicate with the unseen things.

    Experiment 1 - 1:

    TRANSFERRING COLOR BETWEEN TWO GLASSES

    OF WATER

For this experiment you will need two glasses and a pitcher of water with some food coloring or you can substitute salt. Fill the two glasses from the pitcher and add your food coloring to one of the glasses. Make sure it is detectable but do not stir it. Now, close your eyes and imagine that both glasses have that color. If you are able to imagine this then you have transferred the contents of one glass to the other in spirit or in the realm of the forms or in function, as it were. Next, you are going to try to take that image from your mind and, with your eyes open, you are going to use your mind to make the non-colored water become colored. If you can do this, please call the military, I bet you can get a job being studied in a lab because most people cannot make the transfer from the ideal state of something into the form itself even if the two things seem identical or have the same bases. If you are deeply interested, the only video that has surfaced documenting laboratory kinesthetics showed a woman spinning the needle of a compass very slowly using her brain.

Perhaps this weak external brain signal is why most humans believe that they can somehow manifest an idea by adjusting forms directly. For example, having the form of one thing call to the formness of another occurs in Voodoo magic. This is somewhat reverse of an effigy placed in reverenced nomenclature of person, saint, or deity, making it present. War recreations and battle reenactments are similar in nature, in that they seek to manifest the spirit of something using the manipulation of the forms.

Really, the idea of using one form to call to another form, or to somehow recreate the spirit of an event using forms is not a new idea. Mediums take this thought a little further in that they say, I do not need to rearrange these external forms to get the formness or spirit you are after, instead, I can have my body mimic the function of the form and this will draw that formness here for us. Now, arranging forms to communicate with the spirit of the forms is okay but people seem to have a problem when the form being arranged is a person.

Somehow it makes the translation seem so magical. How is it done? To be honest, it works much the same way a photograph or a movie works: some suggestion here, a little identity there and soon the brain is remembering everything. Whose brain? Well, that is hard to say, really. It could be a combined experience with the energy of the two brains feeding off of one another. Critics beware, formness has been achieved this way because from conversationalists to TV watchers there are true believers who say they have perceived the spirit of the form by which they have been willingly deceived. It should be noted, also, that the human brain can often achieve some degree of formness or spirit or function when given longitude and latitude coordinates.

    Experiment 1 - 2: CREATING FORMNESS FROM LAT/LNG

COORDINANCE; THE FORMING NATURE OF LANGUAGE

In this experiment, you will be looking at each individual location or read them aloud to a friend. You or your friend should then try to describe the location before confirming your expectations using a map like Google Maps. This experiment is particularly fun to try on someone who does not have much experience with geography:

    45.345389,-119.551553

    -27.270499,-52.29100

    67.893637,112.663994

    -77.804771,166.680908

Using the human brain to turn form into formness has become so every day that it happens right in most people's homes where you will find them staring at their favorite appliance several hours a week, if not more. What is so magical about that appliance? Well, the television spits out forms with sounds, the human brain makes these into formness or takes them and makes them real to it, or, individually real. How individually real? Well, real enough to make one person cry while sitting next to one person who might be laughing, depending.

This is fantastical! The human brain really does think that forms communicate spirits or the reality of that thing. Essentially, it makes that leap across the gap between transient and intransigent for us. Language itself is patterned to facilitate the rapid construction of formness. Yet, if this leap between form and formness were a true translation then we would be able to arrest the spirit or function of something. Yet, we do not seem to be able to capture that synergy, for during the translation. The ideal state of a form is open for interpretation. Formness, function, or spirit is the essence of something but not at all the thing itself. The thing itself and the world itself is atoms.

Here is an example: in new research led by Gabriel Radvansky at the University of Notre Dame it was discovered that walking through doorways makes the human brain forget. Actually, the last room is forgotten so a new room can be analyzed. To the human brain, the rooms are the same theoretical room. This could be economical or it could be the subtle realization by the brain that atoms hold the shape of forms, meaning that on a certain level the brain understands it is looking at rearrangements of the same materials scattered through space time.

On a hot day, if you go outside and break a glass of water on the ground it cannot be returned to its original state - even if you were to glue the glass back together again. We have a child's rhyme entitled Humpty Dumpty to begin teaching us this fact at a young age. This implies that a changed form cannot resume its old form completely or that a changed form can hold the same function or spirit or energy again. In regards to cloning, modernizations like matrix manufacturing and machined hardware have come a long way in minimizing defects in the processing of form and function (e.g. automobiles, computers, et al). These are entirely separate entities. The same can even be said of Dolly the sheep, which was a DNA clone of the same sheep. They held identical form, but their spirit or function or energy was different. If it was not, a clone would not be possible as it would rip the energy between two forms into static or the jumping of the energy between the two forms would cause horrible vibrations.

As you can see there is still a lot of mystery to form and function. The discussion will not be finished until the ideals of the mind can be readily manifest. Yet, some things will always remain a mystery.

    Reflecting on the Butterfly Effect

Remember the two glasses of water, one colored green, from the essay I wrote entitled On Function & Form? Perhaps not, but I poured two glasses of water down the drain when an experiment was over. There the water combined with color from the experiment and both glasses of water met with sewer-water-at-large. I had, in effect, turned all water the world over green. That delighted me somehow. I had made my legacy. Yet, I was disappointed because that water coloring here in America could not be readily detected in India due to something called dilution. In order to make someone in India aware of my concoction, I would have to somehow keep that patch of color and water together as they fell down the drain. In the sewer, I would then have to stir the waters enough to ensure my color made it out to the ocean. Once it had arrived in India through bizarre circumstance, I would have to ensure it was noticed as a volume in the ocean by finding a swimmer alert enough to recognize that that particular volume was green.

Had the weak translation of action, dilution, stopped the the butterfly effect? For this effect to occur, one event must trigger a series of events such that the accumulative effect is noticeable by the casual observer, even if at a later date. The butterfly effect is a way of saying something like +e=mc2 = +e=mc2+ = e+=mc2 = +e=mc2... with the plus sign transferring forever, or that my green glass of water transferred the color green to other glasses of water... forever. Notice how I added jumbled plus signs to indicate an increase and also a transfer of given energy. Such a sequence would have to occur for a butterfly's wing flap to become nuclear at a later date, as proposed by chaos theory (aka. the butterfly effect but with some doomsday sprinkled in).

We could break the +e=mc2 = +e=mc2+ = e+=mc2 = +e=mc2... equation down to an atomic level and contend that the plus signs are electrons jumping across atoms (aka. equal signs), and that eventually a split in an atom will occur. BOOM! Not so fast, Chaos Doomers, there is something called quantum dots. These occur when the electron jumps across so hard and fast that it freezes the hole, or the path traveled by the electron around the neutron. The fast transfer of energy or the transfer of too much energy basically crystallizes the entire atom. So, instead of becoming an atomic explosion, if =+e=mc2... f-o-r-e-v-e-r, sort-of, then a butterfly flapping its wings would occasionally result in bright materials that would fluoresce at different rates somewhere around the world.

Yet we do not see bright rainbows that fluoresce except perhaps after thunderstorms. Assuming there are lots of butterflies flapping their wings constantly in addition to other creatures moving there is a problem here with my hypothetical equation. Or is there? considering modern science has concluded around 1,800 thunderstorms are happening every second, or about 16 million worldwide thunderstorms annually perhaps it is not too farfetched to say that the formation of rainbows does bear some relationship to the movements of living creatures.

Not all actions are able to florescence, as it were, but sometimes they delay and at other times transform into the opposite of the original intention. This seems to be the common course of matter as it undergoes transformations or moves due to movement. Take the act of copulation, for example. Such a lovely end is actually the beginning of an entirely new action. Often a cloud of heaven between the two animals breaks entry into a secured area and begins to multiply. This growth may get attacked by the host's immune system. Or sometimes a baby animal is formed. Perfect or imperfect, ugly or beautiful, all earth animals must find their way out through a small hole in order to survive the first stage of development. After a given period of time, then the new animal must also strive to repeat the sacred vibrations and give birth to more actors.

Over action or under action has been labeled sin by most religions. In reality, action cannot be rightly judged if the immediate effects are not readily known. Echoes of all actions, even those thought to be failures, resonate within the universe. For example, the dendrites that transmit electrical and chemical signals within your body are like small trees with branches. Likewise, the texture of tree bark has been found to grow fur mimicking the skins of animals. Entire nebulas have
