He was the crucial officer in commanding the US Seventh Army during the World War II following the Allied invasion of Normandy and was key in detaching Germany from the Nazis. This tough, strict disciplined general was often referred as the Old Blood-and-Guts by his fellow men. However, his impudent actions and mercurial temper drag him to many controversies during his career.

    Born in California on November 11, 1885, Patton much longed to be a war hero from any early age as he used to hear the legendary war stories of his ancestors in American Revolution. Joining the Virginia Military School and then The Us Military Academy, he grew much interested in the army. Patton married his childhood friend Beatrice Ayer in 1910. He was a member in pentathlon event in the 1912 Stockholm Olympics and reached in the fifth position. These performances made him a teacher of swordsmanship at the Mounted Service School in Kansas where he was a student of fencing
