    This book is

dedicated to my dear grandmother, Elizabeth Torbit Mobley.

An old lady named Sister Missy lives in the suburbs of Chester County, South Carolina, in a town called Little Swan. She lives in a white four-story brick mansion. It has twenty-two rooms with lots of windows, twin chimneys, French doors, high steps, a large front and back porch with tall poles, and a five-car garage. The mansion has thirteen bedrooms, two large kitchens, two dining rooms, two dens, three large living rooms, and nine bathrooms with solid gold fixtures. It is an unusual-looking, yet very beautiful house. People always stop and look at it as if it is a tourist attraction.

The architect who designed the house was from Europe. The contractors who built the house were from Great Britain and Singapore. The house cost ten million dollars to build. Now it is worth fifteen million dollars. Every year, Sister Missy has the house appraised. The chimneys were a tradition from the 1920s. Years ago, all houses that were built in Little Swan had to have twin chimneys. Little Swan’s population is nine hundred thousand. Only the rich and wealthy can live there. Building a house there now costs fifteen million dollars.

There are four sea frill trees on the right side of the front yard and four sea frill trees on the left side of the backyard. Her father planted these trees for good shade when the house was first built. There is an old saying about those trees. They are good luck for money. With these trees, you will be successful in everything you do. You will have good health and long life, and you will become a millionaire.

Sister Missy’s house also has a ten-room maids’ quarters. The house has six bedrooms, one large living room, one large dining room, one big den, one big kitchen, and four bathrooms.

The maids’ quarters was added years later. Sister Missy said she did not want her mansion to be crowded. She likes a lot of space.

When the maids are not busy working in the mansion, they spend time outside on the patio and go for swims in the swimming pool.

Sister Missy gets up at six o’clock every morning and eats her breakfast. She has been doing this since she was thirty years old. Her breakfast consists of one egg, two slices of bacon, three pieces of toast, a large glass of orange juice, a glass of water, a slice of cheese, a cup of tea with lemon and pastry, and a glass of white wine called AA Touch of Scottish Onn. She said if she changes her diet, she will gain weight, and she doesn’t want to do that because she is very comfortable with her size. She credits her good looks, good health, and long life to the wine. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

She is very pleased with her cook William Theodore Jackson, a native of Nebraska. He has been working for her for forty years. He is single, very smart, and disengaged. Ha ha ha ha ha. Sister Missy said he is the best cook in the world and he is just dynamic. He is tall, handsome, and good looking. Sometimes he catches her looking into his eyes. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. And he winks at her. Ha ha ha ha ha.

She said she would never tell her sisters. Ha ha ha ha ha.

She always tells him that he is the best of the best cooks. Every time she tells him that, he just smiles and does the twist. Sister Missy replies, My cook, my cook, what a wonderful and adorable cook I have. I am the luckiest woman in the world to have William Theodore Jackson in my home. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

No one can beat him in making her favorite dishes, such as chicken jojo, rice parmajon, onion sliver, rudebaker stew, sweet potato top, porkchop vom von, and banana pudding whiz. He got his chef license from Humpheys Chef School in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is one of the best schools in the world, and it is one of the most expensive schools in the United States.

His tuition was $77,000 for two years. He went on a scholarship. He won it by making the most tasteful plum pie the state of Nebraska has ever tasted. His plum pie consists of twelve ingredients, a recipe that will always be kept in secret. His plum pies are baked in Nebraska every day and shipped all over the world.

Her kitchen always has good aroma, and her chef makes sure that she eats every meal on time.

Her house is always clean. She has eight housekeepers to keep it well-maintained. According to Sister Missy, when you are wealthy, everything must be up to date. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. She also said that a big
